"So are you guys from North Carolina?" Angelina asked my parents as I ate my salmon

"She is, I moved here when I was sixteen." My Dad answered

My mom nodded in response, "So when they have to go to Los Angeles for Spring break is y'all's whole family going? I know Holland is going with us out of choice, she loves California."

"Well he has to work that whole week and I'm bringing Ella." His mom answered

"Me and the boys can meet Luke in Florida, give you space to do y'all's thing ." My Dad told my mom

My mom rolled her eyes jokingly, "Yeah, maybe we can share a condo down there or something. I'll give you my number."

I glanced at Ev, who was looking at me.

We were both so ready to go.

We were hardly involved in any of the conversations, it was just our parents getting to know each other while we sat and ate.

I guess it was a good thing that we didn't have to carry the conversation and that our parents were really hitting it off.

"You wanna go on date tomorrow? Like lunch." Everett asked me as we sat outside the restaurant while our parents finished their desserts and paid the bill

I looked at him, "Um, yeah!"

He smiled, "Cool, cool, we can decide a restaurant and a time."

"How should I dress?" I asked him

"Casual." He responded

"Gotcha." I replied as I looked up to see our parents

"Grier, do you mind driving?" My mom wondered

I shook my head, even though I didn't really want to but it was better than driving after they'd been drinking.

Everett sat in the front with me as I drove all of us back to my house.

His parents decided to stay a while to drink wine and talk to my parents about God knows what.

I, of course, took off all of my makeup and changed into some comfortable clothes. Everett and I chilled in the game room since we couldn't stay in my bedroom alone anymore.

"We should do a swimming date when it gets warm again." Everett spoke

"It's always warm in Los Angeles." I added

He nodded, "Very true."

"We're going to prom together, right?" I questioned him

"Why wouldn't we?" He asked with a small laugh

I looked at him, "Aria and Paisley wanna go look at prom dresses after school on Monday, I'm just gonna browse because I can't dress shop without my mom or sister at all."

"Well, yeah, we're going together. I just thought February was too early for a promposal." Everett explained

"Kinda is." I spoke

"Anyway, how is the YouTube thing going?" I asked him

He shrugged, "I mean, people are still asking a lot of questions, I don't really know what kind of content to do, but I mean I gained a lot of Instagram and Twitter followers. I didn't give out my SnapChat."

"Oh yeah, I get not giving out your SnapChat. I feel like it's the only platform where it's not super easy to find someone, especially with my stupid username." I agreed

"Same, can I ask you something?" Ev began

I nodded

"Why were you so distant that week after winter formal?" He asked
