Ch14: The Talk

Gray's pov

I sat up to see that everyone was still asleep. I sighed and walked out if the building, sitting by the stream. "What you doing out here?" someone asked. I turned to see Autumn staring down at the river.

"I needed time to think" u replied, letting out a sigh. "Think about what?" she asked, flicking her ear but not breaking her gase on the water. "Just stuff" I replied. "Like your Crush in (Y/n)?" she asked, swishing her tail.

"Who said I like her" I asked, turning away, my cheeks heating up. "Your acting the same way James did when he had started developing feelings for Simon. It's always the same" Autumn replied before dipping her head down and scooping her hand in the water, sending a fish flying into the air.

It landed on the pebbly shore as Autumn picked it up and snapped its neck before putting it in a fishing basket. "What do you mean by that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"People almost always act the same when they fall in love with someone. You aren't one of those people but the way you act around (Y/n) is the same as how James acted around Simon. Minus the innuendos that is" Autumn replied,staring back at the water.

"Fine. So maybe I find her cute" I replied. "Listen here. I'll help you tell her how you feel but if you break her heart, I'll snap your neck. Got it" she explained, making eye contact with me. "I thought you were the youngest though?" I asked, taking a gulp.

"I am but I'm the one with the most physical strength and Tyler wouldn't have the guts to snap someone's neck. He doesn't like that kind of thing. That means it's up to me to make sure that anyone who breaks my sisters heart understands the consequences" she explained.

"Have you done this before?" Yep. I snapped the neck of the guy who used (Y/n) to get back together with his girlfriend. He lived however I was put in jail for a year. I was told that I was lucky it wasn't longer since I could have killed him but I didn't care" she explained.

"How did (Y/n) and Tyler react?" I asked, surprised that she had done this. "They came to visit and so did our mum. It was horrible in there but I had no choice but to stay" she explained, fishing out another fish. "So when you say that. You actually mean that you'll snap my neck?" I asked. "Yep. It's not the easiest bone to snap but it works all the same" she replied. I gulped.

"So how are you going to help me?" I questioned nervously. "I can't talk here. Someone might wake up and overhear. I'll meet you at the cafe near the Fairy Tail guild hall at 6pm tonight" she explained. I nodded before Freed walked out, giving a big stretch.

I walked into the cafe, looking around. I spotted the tip of Autumn's ear and walked over to the seat. She was taking a sip from a hot chocolate. "I see you came" she pointed out, putting her drunk down and munching in a cookie.

"So what's this advice you were talking about?" I asked. Autumn pushed the cup and the plate to the side and reached into her satchel, pulling out a large pile of paper. She dumped it on the table as I looked at what I'm guessing is about 100 sheets of lined paper.

"Why so many sheets?" I asked, looking between the sheets and Autumn. "Each sheet has a plan on it. There is 126 in total" she explained. "You expect me to do all of those?" inquired. "No. I expect you to read through them all, chose the 5 that you think are the best and then try one of them" Autumn replied.

I sighed and read through them all. Some of them were really strange like getting a rope and jumping off of a building with roses and chocolates while some weren't as weird like just asking her out on a date.

I eventually settled on the 5 I thought were the best and most sensible. The first one was just asking her out on a date. The second was taking her somewhere and have the words I love you spelled out in Rose petals on the ground. The third was to make her a present and hand it to her with a note explaining my feelings. The fourth was to write a song for her and the fifth was to kiss her then explain my feelings.

"Some of these were crazy. You expect me to hold up a sign while kayaking along a rapid river?" I asked. "Actually I made these up for James a few years ago but it seems they still work so I just grabbed them and came here. So which ones did you pick?" she demanded.

I showed her the 5 sheets and she looked over them. Pulling out a notebook, she handed me a sheet she had torn out. I looked at it and saw a date, time and place. "Meet me at this place at the date and time" she ordered, finishing her beverage, grabbing everything and walking out. I sighed and got up, heading back to. Y house with a sigh. 'I fell in love with the girl who has the craziest family ever' I thought.
