Ch21: Not The Same

I'm sorry that I took so long to update but I'd been busy with exams and then last weekend I was busy celebrating my birthday and the two weekends before that, I had gone to the cinema to see Endgame and A dog's journey but here's a new chapter. Hope you enjoy.

Gray's pov

I stood in anticipation as Kade launched himself forward and punched my face, following it up with a kick to the gut. I slid back a little and looked up.

"I've trained for this moment for years and I'm not going to let some brat who thinks he's better beat me up. Your nothing. Yout fake. You aren't real. (Y/n)'s feelings towards you are nothing more than a fictional crush and that's all they'll ever be" he gloted.

I sent an ice attack at him which grazed his cheek, causing blood to pool out of the small cut. He looked at with the corner off his eye before wiping the blood away. "Is that the best you've got?" he laughed.

"I'm just getting started" I growled. I got up and ran forward, kicking Kade in the side of the head. He stumbled back and shook his head as if finding his bearings.

"Bastard!" he spat and lifted his head up. "I'm bringing (Y/n) back to the guild!" I snapped at him. "You really think that you've won. That you have the advantage. What we've done is only part of our revenge. We aren't finished yet and if you beat us, we'll just come back" he laughed.

Something slammed into his face and clung their as Kade tried to get it off. "You won't hurt (Y/n) anymore you jerk" Pepper cried. She unseated her claws and scratched his face. "What the hell you dumb fleabag!" he yelled, pulling Pepper off of his face aand rubbing where she scratched him which was from his left cheek, across his eye and up to his forehead.

Pepper squirmed out off his grasp and I kicked him in the chest , sending him flying into a wall. All off his friends turned to see what had happened with I presume their leader.

Everyone took that as a chance to beat their opponents and all hit the final blow. "This isn't over. We'll be back" Kade spat before they all made a run for it.

"Wait! They still have the keys!" Sting yelled. "No they don't. I got them from Kade at the beginning of the fight" I advised, pulling out the keys from my pocket.

Something suddenly tackled me. James was holding me in a hug. "Could you maybe let go of me?" I asked. I separated the four keys amongst us before going to (Y/n)'s cell. I unlocked the cell and ran over.

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?" I asked. She looked at me and fear filled her eyes. She backed up quickly and pressed up against the wall, staring at me in fear.

Blood trickled down her lips and she had a large black eye. Her body was covered in cuts and bruises and their was lots of crusted blood. I got up and went to see Freed.

He was trying to comfort Tyler who kept begging him to stay away and not to touch him. His voice was strained and weak and he was currently crying.

I checked on James. He was trying to get Simon to respond but couldn't get him to do anything but sit and stare blankly at nothing. Same for Autumn.

I went back to (Y/n) who freaked out again when she saw me. Everyone came back and looked at each other.

"I'm going to need someone else to help (Y/n). She won't let me anywhere near her" I explained. "Same with Tyler" Freed agreed. Freed and I switched and I tried to help Tyler.

He was still nervous and scared but he agreed to come with us. (Y/n) had come out with Freed. We all agreed to head back to the guild with the others in toe. It was a long walk.
