Samantha's POV
"Name?"
"Samantha Adams" I respond. Ugh. I'm left in the secretary's office alone why? Because my best friend just HAD to "see her locker and get it set up," instead of waiting here with me. Basically she didn't want to listen to the secretary's monotone voice anymore and decided to dtich me. Thanks Chloe. Note to self: Get back at Chloe for ditching me.
"Birthday?" I'm gonna fall asleep to her boring voice if I listen to her any longer.
"December 21, 1996," the Winter Solstice for that year. I didn't think of it as special, but on my 13th birthday my parents told me-no. I'm not thinking about that. I will not let the mention of birthday cause the walls I've put up be broken down. Just breathe an don't think about that. All of a sudden, the sound of a throat clearing brings me out of my thoughts. I see the secretary looking at my expectantly. Dang! I didn't catch the question. "Could you repeat that please?" I ask shyly.
"Are you a werewolf, fairy, vampire, or witch?" She says slightly annoyed. Crap. How do I respond to that?
"Um, I'm neither," I begin. I see her looking at me like I'm dumb. Just as she is about to pick up the phone and call someone, probably the principal, I answer her. "I am a supernatural, though. I'm," I say hesitantly, "a mermaid."
"WHAT? SHE'S A MERMAID?" I hear someone yell. I look at the secretary noticing that she is in fact shocked, but didn't say anything yet.
"Shut up dude! You're blowing our cover! You've gotta-"
*CRASH*
I look around and see a couple ceiling panels on the floor along with two guys. As much as I like attention...this isn't exactly what I want. I notice the secretary glaring at them and sending them out. Just as the taller one walks out he whispers to me with a smirk, "Nice to meet you fish girl." Fish girl? FISH GIRL? No one, and I mean NO ONE calls me FISH GIRL and gets away with it!
"So," the scretary says, brining me back to reality, "would you like to choose your schedule? Ususally the students have required classes for their supernatural type, but we have never encountered an...erm..."
"Mermaid." I finish for her. "I understand the point you are getting to. I would like to have a gym class, art class, french class, math class, and world history class. And any other classes I would like to have with Chloe Fay, the girl who was recently in here." The secretary writes down what I want and pulls out a copy of Chloes schedule. She types things into her computer and hands me one of the two printed out schedules. "Thank you." I say and start to make my way towards my locker. Taking my backpack off and unloading the supplies I've brought with me, I head to my homeroom.
*10 minutes later*
Ugh! These school maps lie! I have no clue where I'm going or where my homeroom is! Maybe if I look at the map again-*oof*. Just as I'm about to land on the ground, an arm wraps around my waist. I look up into the goregous eyes of my savior. I shove my way out of his hands and try to fix myself. "Thanks," I mumble. I get a good look at who caught me, and I must say, he is one fine man. His dark brown, almost black, hair is messed up, and he has those goregous eyes that looks like to ocean. I feel as if I could swim in them. Noticing he is taking in my apperance, too, I get the guts to ask the question I thought I wouldn't have to ask today. "Can you help me find my homeroom?" I say shyly. God this is embarrsing. "Or at least point me in the right direction?

I hope yall aren't too upset and understand. Hopefully the next chapter will be up sooner and be more elaborate and longer. *sigh* Again guys, I'm really sorry. :(
