••Luke's POV••

Weeks had gone by in the cabin, and things between me and Lylah were better than ever.

It took everyone a while to finally grasp that things between us weren't going to be like they were, I pinky promised on that one.

Me and Lylah were on the couch, me strumming my guitar, her with her earphones in. She ripped her earphones out and turned to face me.

"Luke?" She asked. "Lylah?" I mocked, resulting in a soft punch I the arm.

"Serious, Luke." She said.

She stared at me for a minute before speaking again.

"Luke, you know how normal couples have a song? Why don't we have one?" She said, being very serious, which, quite frankly, was the opposite I was right now.

••Lylah's POV••

He laughed.

"Luke, I'm being serious. If you aren't then, maybe we shouldn't be together." I joked, knowing he would freak out.

"Lylah! No. I mean, I didn't mean it like that." He freaked, as predicted. "Luke, chill. But serious, why don't we have a song?" I asked, again.

"Well one, we aren't a normal couple." He started.

He spoke again, this time a little more serious than the last.

"Look, we don't need a song because, well, we have one hell of a story."

"Luke-" I started, but quickly got interrupted.

"Look, I pinky promised a few weeks ago, that I would try my hardest for as long as I live to make this work. Even though we have had our ups and downs, mostly downs, but I love you. Forever and always, okay? No matter what we may go through, I will always love you." He said.

A few weeks past and, as I previously said, my mother's health had gotten worse.

This morning she had called and asked if we could meet in a few days. I told her sure, considering she's dying in a different country, and because I haven't seen her in, what seemed like, forever. I decided that I would tell Luke today, pack and fly out there tomorrow, and land the next day.

Me and Luke were cuddling on the couch, covering up with a blanket.

"Luke, I'm leaving tomorrow. Like, to a different country." I said, nervous to see his reaction because the last time I told him, we didn't see each other for 3 years.

"Yes! Really?" He said, earning a very confused look from me.

"I mean, we have to go back to Australia tomorrow also. Were touring and I just was going to wait and figure some way to tell you." He said.

"My mom's health is really bad. The doctors said that she has stage IV cancer. She told me that they said she only has like 3 more months to live." I said, a single tear slipping from my face.

"Lylah, please don't cry. I hate it when you cry. Look, you can look forward to the big 'Goodbye fellow american people, we will never see you again but, let us celebrate' party." He said, laughing, trying to lighten the mood, which worked.

I decided to tease Luke and wear a really tight, short dress. He loved to tease me, so I decided to do it to him. I fixed my hair, put some light make up on, and walked up to the highest level, the party level.

Luke saw me and instantly I blushed. He walked over to me and grabbed my hand.

"Babe, you look, wow." He said.

"Thanks, but just wait till later." I said, winking.

His eyes got really wide, but instantly played it off and shot me this look of 'cool I'll meet you on the dance floor' look.

Everyone started turning up, so the party began.

The music was loud, but everyone was enjoying themselves, mostly because they were drunk, but hey, it still counts.

We had already gone through everyone's playlists, considering wed been partying for endless hours. The sun was already rising, but nobody cared.

"Hey, can I use the stage? I'll need the guys for this. I have a song I want to share with everyone." I asked Ashton.

They got everything set up, I showed them the music and we started.

Luke started, considering he wrote the first verse.

"Back at school they all thought I was an outcast car crash. 'A hopeless fool' they said to me. And my girlfriend said I mess up will I ever grow up? But in the end I'm not gonna." He sang, very well, as usual.

I sung the chorus, with the help of the guys.

"What was I thinking? Everyone see it, it's not a secret that I'm just a reject. Sick of your system, don't wanna hear it. It's not a secret that I'm just a reject." We all sang.

We sounded a lot better than I thought we would.

Michael sang, very beautifully as well.

"My teacher said I was mentally disabled, so unstable, so I stay in bed all day. Save your breath, you can talk at me but I'm not listening. If this is a test, then I'm probably failing."

We sang the chorus, then the song was over. The boys continued playing songs, but I stayed on the dance floor and watched then perform. They were amazing. They completely deserved this tour.

It was 6 in the morning now, so we all decided to call it quits.

Me and Luke walked down to our room together, him carrying me because I didn't wanna walk at the time.

He was a little tipsy, but not the worst I've seen him.

"Hey Luke, didn't I promise you something earlier?" I asked, knowing he would remember.

"Yeah, I mean, if you don't want to, I guess that's fine." He said, opening the door.

I got into his suit case, grabbed his favorite Blink-182 shirt and a pair of my sweats, and left to change. The shirt wsd huge on me but, oh well.

I walked into the room and Luke was still changing.

"Lylah!" He said, as if this hadn't happened before.

"Luke!" I mocked, laying down on our bed.

"You really are trying to turn me on here, aren't you?" He asked, laying down next to me.

"Maybe. Is it working though?" I asked, propping myself up on one arm and looking him in his bright, blue eyes.

He did the same, and kissed my cheek, down my neck, and stopped and my collarbone.

"Maybe." He said, laughing. "What are you laughing about?" I asked, a very confused look upon my face."I can't believe you can't see it." He said, laughing again. "Oh, ha! Joke's on you because I'm pretty tired." I said, faking yawning to prove my point. "Seriously?" He asked, sighing. "No! I'm kidding!" I said.

And for the rest of the night, we'll just say, was amazing.

We woke up at 10 in the morning and immediately started packing.

Our flight left at 1 in the afternoon so we had to hussle.

We got our bags packed, told pur goodbyes to our american friends, and left for the airport.

We arrived at 12:30 in the afternoon, perfect timing.

"Luke, I'm really going back to Australia! I never thought I'd say that again." I said. "I know, I can't believe it." He replied.

The plane roared to life, and we were off.

"Next stop, Australia."
