I actually wrote this one before part 1.  I also had to look up the scene where this is taking place to know the exact chain of events.  I think it turned out well though.  Hope you enjoy

“Buck, give me a minute,” you said, sitting down on a box that was shoved against the wall of the alley.

“We don’t have a minute,” Bucky pulled at your hand. “I’m sorry, I know this sucks, but we have to keep moving.”

“You don’t even know if they’re after us!”

“No, but I can’t risk them finding us.  Finding you!”

“Who cares about me?  Certainly not HYDRA!”

“That’s exactly why I’m afraid of them.  They. Don’t. Care. They’ll kill you without a second thought.”

“You don’t know that,” you said hesitantly.

“Yes, I do.  Now, please, come on.” you reluctantly stood up and jogged alongside him.

You two returned to your shared apartment, if you could call it that.  It was one room, really, with a bathroom down the hall and to the left.  You walked into the room and saw a man. He spoke into an earpiece.

“Understood,” his back was facing you.  You staggered backwards into Bucky who was just coming through the doorway.  The man turned around. It was Captain America. You’ve never seen him in person.

“Do you know me?” he asked.

Bucky spoke from behind you. “You’re Steve.  I read about you in a museum,” Bucky put his hand on your shoulder, silently telling you I’m here.  Don’t worry.  You heard someone on the other end of the earpiece this man named Steve was wearing say something about a perimeter.  You became confused.

“I know you’re nervous,” Steve continued, “And you have plenty of reason to be.  But you’re lying.”

“I wasn’t in Vienna,” Bucky said. “I don’t do that anymore.” The man other end of the earpiece said people were entering the building.

“Well, the people who think you did are coming here now,” said Steve. “And they're not planning on taking you alive.”

“That's smart. Good strategy,” Bucky said and you shook your head in protest.  From the other end of the earpiece you heard Steve’s friend say something about being comprised.

“This doesn't have end in a fight, Buck,” Steve said.  It was nearly a plea. A battering ram hit the door and you jumped.

“We should go-” you began to say.

“It always ends in a fight,” Bucky interrupted.

5 seconds.

“You pulled me from the river,” Steve said. “Why?”

“I don't know,” Bucky answered while pulling off his glove to reveal his metal hand.

3 seconds.

“Yes you do.”

Breach!  Breach! Breach!

You jumped as a grenade flew through the open window.  Bucky kicked it and Steve trapped it under his famous shield, where it went off.  Bucky shielded you and himself with the mattress as armed guards burst through the windows.  You managed to protect yourself but couldn't bring yourself to knock anyone out. Bucky did whatever was necessary.  He pulled the rug out from under one and blocked the door with your dining table. He even threw a policeman against the wall.

“Buck, stop!” Steve shouted, as he grabbed Buck's shoulder making him turn around. “You're gonna kill someone.”  Bucky threw him to the ground. You honestly thought that Bucky was going to hit him, as he raised his arm. Instead he punched through the floor, grabbed a backpack.

“I'm not going to kill anyone,” He replied and tossed the bag out the window.  Then Bucky turned to you. “(Y/n), go. Meet me somewhere. It's too dangerous for you.  You can't repel the bullets. Please. I'll meet up with you soon. I promise.” though it hurt you to do so, you nodded and walked up to the window.  People burst through the door and started shooting. Steve kept you and Bucky safe from the bullets but it wouldn't last for long. You kissed Bucky and jumped out the window.  Bucky turned to fight the others.
