So, this one took me a little bit. I had to change stuff up. Just remember that Thor is not the God of hammers and that Mjolnir was used to focus his power. If you keep that in mind, this whole thing will make a lot more sense.
Also, thank you for my first vote. I know it's not a lot, but it means a lot to me, so thank you.
Anyway, yeah, enjoy
You were at a party at Avengers tower. After all the other guests had left, you, Tony, Clint, Nat, Bruce, Steve, Thor, and Maria, were all sitting, chatting, having a grand old time. Clint was not convinced that Mjolnir was special at all.
“Ah, whosoever be worthy shall haveth the power,” he said. “Whatever man! It's a trick.”
Thor then gestured to his hammer and replied, “please be my guest.” What harm could be done? Nearly everyone had tried, except for you and Nat. Nat really didn't want to, so everyone dropped it, you on the other hand, everyone wanted you to try.
“Oh, alright. I suppose I could give it a shot,” you said, standing up. Everyone gathered around, watching. You took hold of the handle and lifted. The hammer left the surface of the table with such ease, you thought it must be hollow. Everyone stood there, completely shocked. How?
“What's going on? Is this some gag?” you said finally, as everyone stared.
“No…” Thor answered, on your right. You looked around the room, hoping that one of their faces your give away the joke. You knew them all very well and knew that they were not great actors when it came to jokes. Especially Tony, who would be laughing his ass off by now.
“I honestly couldn’t lift it,” Tony said, not a whisper of a smile on his face. You set Mjolnir down quickly, as though it had burned your hand.
“What’s going on?” you asked, scared. Thor stepped forward.
“My father put a spell on the hammer. To lift it, you must be worthy.”
“What?” you asked.
“You're worthy...” Thor repeated.
“No… there’s obviously been a mistake-”
“...And humble,” Thor added. “Here,” he picked up Mjolnir, “catch,” he threw it to you. Your instincts told you to catch it. When you did, it was light, as though it was made of plastic. Immediately, the questions started flying. Not from you, but at you.
“What does it feel like?”
“Do you feel any different?”
You tried to answer, but you were distracted. You tried to tell Thor that it must be broken, but he assured you that it wasn’t. You started panicking. Lightning was flashing around your arm, which was still holding Mjolnir. Rain had started pouring outside, along with a very strong wind.
“Make it stop!” you yelled over everyone, scared of the lightning. Still the questions were flying. Your mind was racing nearly as fast as your heart. “Make it STOP!” you screamed as lightning flashed outside, and thunder rattled the windows. You dropped the hammer on the ground and collapsed into a chair, shaking. The others had stopped asking questions. Clint wrapped a blanket around your quivering body. After a moment, Thor spoke.
“Come with me to Asgard, (y/n)," Thor said to you. "I think there might be something very special happening here. You can ask my father anything you need to know, I’m sure he’ll be glad to answer.”
