This one is kind of short, but I find it really cute. I actually speak French and I have since I was 6 so I had fun writing this one. There is not a lot of French in it, but it was still fun.

You were making breakfast in the kitchen, while you thought Steve was still asleep upstairs. You fried the bacon and cooked the pancakes, ready to surprise him on your four year anniversary. Normally he would make you breakfast and take you out for dinner, but you really wanted to surprise him. You kind of zoned out, focusing only on cooking, so it surprised you when you felt strong arms wrap themselves around your waist.
“Bonjour, ma chérie,” Steve said quietly in your ear.
“Hello to you too,” you replied, still cooking.
“Que faites vous?” he asked, beginning to sway back and forth. You had a minimal understanding of french and answered him.
“I tried to surprise you with a special breakfast today, but you decided you wake up before I was ready,” replied smiling. He smiled too.
“Well, it smells delicious,” he said, finally switching back to english.
Does anyone else here speak French?
