Sam Wilson- Bridge Battle

"Hydra doesn't like leaks," Sitwell said.

"So why don't you try sticking a cork in it," your boyfriend, Sam said, glaring.

Natasha leaned forward and said, "Insight's launching in sixteen hours, we're cutting it a little bit close here."

" I know," Steve said. "We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly."

"What?! Are you crazy?" Sitwell exclaimed "That is a terrible, terrible idea.

As if on cue, the window beside him was broken and he was thrown out. You yelped in shock, but it was quickly cut short when Nat pushed you sideways, away from a bullet, before climbing into the front seat and saving Steve and Sam from two more bullets. Steve pulled the brake lever and the car skidded to a stop, throwing a man off the roof of it. He slid along the pavement before slowing to a stop and looking back up at the car. You and Nat both reached for a gun at the same time but just before you were about to shoot, the car was hit by a heavily armored vehicle. You flew forwards into Sam's seat, the gun slipping from your hand. The vehicle behind you kept going, pushing you all towards the man who had killed Sitwell. The man then jumped and landed back on top of the car, kicking out the back window, spraying glass all over the back seat, and you.

"(Y/n)!" Sam yelled at you. "Stay down, alright?"

Sam stepped on the brakes and the tires started squealing. The man broke through the windshield and tore the steering wheel out. He has a metal arm?! Natasha tried to shoot at him but didn't hit him.

"(Y/n)!" Sam yelled again. "Jump and roll, okay?" He saw the other vehicle approaching again and yelled, "now!" You grabbed your gun, opened the back door and fell out, tumbling along the highway. Thank God you were wearing a jacket. The car was hit again and it flipped. You screamed, but saw Sam, Nat and Steve fall out, clinging to each other, and sliding along the pavement on Steve's shield. Sam fell off and rolled, probably earning a few scratches. You ran up to him, helping him up. The man started walking over and was handed a grenade launcher. Sam pushed you over the divider as Steve held his shield out and got hit. He flew off the overpass and crashed through a bus. The other men with the man with the metal arm started shooting. You ran with Sam and hid behind a car. You hid with Natasha and Sam hid behind the next car over. The man fired another grenade at you and Natasha, who had to jump over the divider to safety. He fired a third grenade making Nat run with you and jump off the side of the overpass. She grabbed you and attached a grapple to the concrete. You two swung down and she let go of you.

"Be careful," she said to you.

"You too."

She ran off leaving you with only a pistol and your wits. She shot at the man before running and taking cover behind the bus Steve crashed into. You went to go find some cover. You found a parked car not far away and you slid over the hood before ducking down behind it. The man with the metal arm suddenly landed on another car and started walking in Nat's direction. Other men came down off the overpass and began to shoot at the bus that Steve was in. You distracted some of the by shooting from your cover. Steve burst out the back of the bus and hid behind his shield. Sam threw someone off the overpass and grabbed their gun. You killed a couple of men, and so did Steve, but he had to also focus on a man with a huge gun. Sam took out other man who was shooting at Steve, and Steve took down the last guy, the one with the huge gun. Sam told Steve to go find the man with the metal arm so Steve ran off. You helped Sam take out other men on the ground. There was a fourth explosion followed closely by a fifth. These guys were insane! You saw Nat climb on the man's shoulders. You hoped she would be okay.

You were distracted and didn't notice someone aiming straight for you. They fired their gun once, hitting you in the stomach. You gasped and fell over, landing on your back. You lay there not really aware of anything else that was going on. Once you started to regain feeling in your limbs, after recovering from the initial shock, you pushed yourself up a bit, groaning in pain. You lifted your gun and shot the man who shot you, before collapsing completely.

Sam's POV

I flew in and kicked the Winter Soldier so Steve wouldn't get shot. He seemed to be in shock about something. The Winter Soldier tried to fire again but Natasha shot a grenade at him and when the smoke cleared, he was gone. I was looking around for (y/n) when I heard sirens approaching. They pulled out their guns on us and told us to get down on our knees with our hands in the air. I looked around wildly for my girl but a couldn't see her. Maybe she would be able to get us out of the mess we were in right now.

"Look for the other girl!" Someone behind me said, and three or four people, scattered, searching.

After a couple minutes, one said, "over here!" Before very forcefully telling at her to get up. He had to tell it a couple times before I finally saw her head. He grabbed her wrists and shoved her back towards the rest of the group. She was stumbling, and seemed to be in pain. She was cuffed and pushed into the back of a van. I was pushed towards the same van along with Natasha and Steve. Nat wasn't doing so well, she was bleeding out cause of when the soldier shot her. I sat down next to (y/n) who had her eyes closed and her head back against the wall of the van.

Regular POV

Sam sat next to me and looked at me, worried.

"Are you alright?" He asked, not yet noticing that I had been bleeding out for the past ten minutes.

I nodded, not wanting him to worry, but when my eyes clenched closed in pain, he got more concerned. He finally looked down, seeing the blood seeping through my shirt.

"Shit, baby," he whispered before saying loudly, "they both need to put pressure on those wounds or they're gonna bleed out here in the van." One guard pulled out an electric rod and knocked out the guard next to them. They then took off their helmet. Steve seemed to know her. She asked who you and Sam were, right before you faded out of consciousness.

You woke up in Sam's arms, with a doctor helping you. You looked around and saw another helping Nat.

"Its gonna be okay baby, just hold on," Sam told you. You were taken into a room where a man was lying on a hospital bed, hooked up to an IV. He introduced himself a Fury and he, Steve, and Nat talked about what had happened to him, while Sam held your hand as the doctor stitched you up. Once you were good to go, you contributed to the plan and conversation.

You were all going to fight the Winter Soldier again tomorrow.
