This one is kind of a roller coaster, not gonna lie.  There's a lot going on in this chapter.

Enjoy

You were pregnant.  This wasn’t supposed to happen.  Neither you nor Tony were ready for this.  How were you going to tell him? He had to know.

You had been feeling sick the past few days then you missed your period.  You decided to test and found out you were pregnant.

Then you heard JARVIS welcome Tony home.  You ran downstairs to catch Tony before he disappeared into his shop.

“Tony!  Wait!” you called.

“Hey baby,” he said, when you found him.  As soon as you saw him your eyes started to prickle with tears.  You ran up to hug him to hide your face.  You hid your face in his arm, a quiet sob escaping.  Tony heard this and got worried.

“What’s wrong, baby girl?” he asked, trying to hold you in such a way that he could see your face but you wouldn’t let him. “Hey, talk to me,” he continued softly, “c’mon.” He picked you up carefully and brought you to the couch.  He sat down with you on his lap, but you quickly scooted away.

“You’re scaring me.  What’s going on?” he asked again.  You looked down and mumbled an answer. “I can’t hear you, baby,” Tony whispered, lifting your chin gently.

“I’m pregnant,” you said again.  Tony stood up, ran his fingers through his hair and walked downstairs to his shop without saying a thing.  You didn’t go after him.  You sat for a moment then walked back upstairs, to shocked by his response to cry.  You shuffled into yours and Tony’s room and lay down on the bed, finally letting the tears fall.  After a while you heard a gentle knock on the the door.  You didn’t answer but the door opened anyway.  You turned and saw Tony had changed into a button up shirt and held a dress for you.

“Let’s go out and eat, alright?” he said as if you hadn’t even brought up the fact that you were pregnant.

“Tony-” you began, but he shushed you grabbing your hand.

“First let’s get you cleaned up, huh?” he guided you to the bathroom he cleaned up your make up, doing it just how you always did it (which you didn’t know he could do), and helped you change into the dress he’d brought up and did your hair for you.

He took you to a nice restaurant where you two ate.  Whenever you tried to bring up the baby you were carrying in your stomach, he would change the subject or interrupt you.

After dinner, he took you on a walk on the boardwalk along the shore line.  He held your hand, looking out at the water and setting sun.  After nearly half an hour of walking in silence, Tony stopped.  You looked at him confused. He looked down at his feet, took a deep breath then got on one knee.

“Tony…” you said, not knowing how to continue.

“I’ve been thinking about this for a while,” he said. “I figured now was the perfect time since we’re going to have a baby.  (y/n), I love you endlessly.  I always want to be there for you.  I want to wake up next to you for the rest of my life and fall asleep with you in my arms every night.  I want to have a family with you.  I want to grow old with you.  I fall in love with you over and over again every day with everything that you do.  You saw through the things that I’ve done and the money that I have and the success that I have and saw me for me like no one else ever had before.  I want to see you walk down the aisle and say ‘I do.’ I want to call you mine and for you to call me yours.  I want to be with the right people from now on and I want to start with you,” he stopped to pull a ring out of his pocket. “(y/n), will you marry me?”

You had started crying.  You smiled through your tears of joy and nodded before you could speak.

“Yes!” you finally exclaimed. “Oh my God, Tony, yes!” Tony slid the ring onto your finger and stood up.

“This is the best day of my life,” he said as he pulled you in close.  He leaned in and kissed you gently. “I’m not leaving you, ever, okay? And we’re going to take such good care of this baby, I promise.  I love you so much!” he squeezed you tight.

“I love you, too.”
