Leila giggled as she walked towards the doors of Beacon Hills High School, her hands fiddling with her dark grey cardigan that was over her floral crop top and white shorts. Lydia Martin smiled as they just looked around.

"This is seriously going to be the best thing that's happened to this down since-since the birth of Le-Lydia Martin. Hey, Lydia! You look- like you're going to ignore me," Stiles Stilinski finished.

Lydia continued walking, completely ignoring the boy who had complemented her. The two sixteen year old girls smiled at everyone they passed and didn't speak until they reached their lockers, which were right next to each other.

Both of the girls had a boyfriend, and both of the boys were on the lacrosse team. Lydia's boyfriend was the captain of the team, Jackson Whittemore. Leila's boyfriend was the goalie of the team, Danny Māhealani.

"Hey, sweetheart," Danny said as he wrapped his arm around his girlfriend's shoulder with a smile. She cuddled into his shoulder and pecked his lips before replying, "Hi, Dan." She turned to Jackson. "Hey, Jack. How're you two doing?"

"Great," they said simultaneously.

"Lacrosse season." The strawberry blonde grinned and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "This is the best time of year."

Jackson scoffed and rolled his eyes. "But they still hold tryouts. Why? It's not like McCall or Stilinski are going to make it in. They both try-and fail-every year."

Leila agreed with him in spite of herself. She didn't want to be insulting Scott and Stiles like that, but she did anyway. She took a glance at her watch and realized the time.

"I'm gonna go to English," Leila said. She pecked Danny on the lips and walked away towards her first class of her sophomore year.

"As you all know, there indeed was a body found in the woods last night. And I'm sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened. But I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody. Which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desk outlining this semester."

Leila groaned with everyone else as she looked down at her syllabus. She finished reading through it and grabbed her pencil. Without a second thought, she began to draw a symbol on her paper. She saw Scott flinch out of the corner of her eye and look around for something, and she knew what he was looking for.

A ringing phone.

After another minute of Scott being distracted and Leila furtively watching him, the Assistant Principal walked in.

"Class, this is our new student, Allison Argent."

Leila's head snapped up at the girl's name. She had brown hair and brown eyes, and she looked uncomfortable being the center of attention.

"Please do your best to make her feel welcome."

Allison began to walk towards the only empty seat, which was behind Scott and in front of Leila. Leila heard the pounding of the new girl's heart as she sat down.

Scott turned around, a pen in his hand. Leila's eyebrows furrowed, but her eyes widened slightly, showing that she was both confused and shocked. Allison tentatively reached forward and grabbed the pen from Scott's hand.

"Thanks," she said. Scott smiled and looked forward as the teacher began to do what he was meant to do-teach.

Scott didn't realize that Allison looked at him skeptically, as if she wasn't sure whether or not to trust him. She also seemed confused on how he knew about it.
