The little girl seemed like a very curious child, especially since she was following a stranger around the woods.
"Who are you," the twelve year old boy demanded, "and what do you want?"
"I want the truth," she whispered after a moment. She laughed at herself. "There's something different here in Beacon Hills. It's... weird. But I like it."
The boy glared at her. "Get lost before you hurt yourself."
A woman then walked up, glared playfully at the boy, and bent down so she was the girl's height. "I'm sorry about Derek." She held out her hand. "I'm Talia. Talia Hale."
The girl's eyes light up as she smirked slightly. She turned around and said, "Artemis! I found them!"
The next thing the Hale's knew, a group of girls, ranging from the age of eight to sixteen, were surrounding them, weapons aimed at the werewolve's hearts.
"You little-" Derek began to say, furious at the girl, who he still did not know the name of.
"Hunters!" a girl exclaimed. "Atta-"
"Don't attack them!" Leila shrieked, rushing forward and throwing her arms out. "I brought you here so you could give me the bite and agree that the Hale's would make sure I don't get killed for the first few months!"
Artemis stepped forward, frowning at her Hunters. "Put your weapons down. We are not here to fight."
"What the hell's going on?" Derek asked, clearly confused.
The girl turned to him and stuck out her hand. He shook it, wondering why she didn't say her name.
"You should probably go inside for this. And we need to ask the rest of your family about it." She smiled kindly as she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards his house. She started walking backwards and was surprised to see a slight smile on Derek's lips. "Oh, I'm Leila. Leila McCall."
The corners of his lips tugged even further up. "Hello, Leila. I'm Derek Hale." He hit her nose and immediately became baffled. Since when did he act like this around people? "And I think we're going to get along great."

"Derek, teach me how to dance!"
Everyone in the room immediately laughed after Leila(number 34/51) said the sentence. She frowned.
"What? Is there something funny about that?"
"Yeah," Peter said. "Derek can't dance."
Leila scoffed and crossed her arms. "Have you ever actually seen him dance?"
Derek groaned loudly. "Leila, shut up."
"But you can! I saw you dancing with Paige when she stopped playing the cello the other day!"
Derek covered her mouth with his hand, a blush on his cheeks.
"Oh, does Derek have a girlfriend now?" Laura asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Shut the hell up," Derek mumbled. Leila giggled and dragged Derek up to his feet before starting to walk around. He sighed. "Oh god, you're doing that so wrong."
Leila smirked. "Then teach me."
Derek then spent the next ten minutes teaching the nine year old girl how to waltz, and when she accomplished it, they did the entire thing in front of their family.
