Chapter Eleven

Kaitlyn's POV

I was sitting on the couch at home, waiting for Shawn's album to come out. He was texting me about how excited he was to hear it. He said that I had to do a live of me reacting to it on Instagram. So, when the time came, I did. It was about 10 minuets before the album came out. I started a Live on my laptop and went on my phone to tweet about it. Comments were flooding in like crazy.

"Hey guys." I brought my hand up to itch my nose. I was reading the comments.

"No, Shawn is not with me," I answered. "I wish he was." I took a sip of water. "Have you heard the album yet. No, I haven't. Shawn wouldn't let me listen to it." My phone went off. I picked it up to see that Shawn texted me saying I was cute. I texted back "Shut up."
I looked at the time. "We're at 6 minuets." My phone went off again. "Goodness, Shawn." He texted asking if he could join my live. I let him on.

"Hi guys," Shawn said as he appeared on the screen. "I don't think you're ready, Kaitie."

"Bring it on. I was born ready."

"How are Ryan and Bailey?" I looked down at my stomach for a minute.

"They said they're good."

"Oh yeah?" Shawn laughed. "What else are they saying?" I looked back down at my stomach.

"They're also saying that everyone watching this should go pre order Shawn Mendes the Album and listen to it on Apple Music or Spotify in 4 minuets." Shawn smiled at the screen.

"Those are mine. My kids. They're mine." He says, gesturing towards the screen excitedly. I laughed.

"So should I listen to all of the songs, or just the songs I haven't heard yet?" I saw a lot of comments saying just songs I haven't heard yet. I went onto Apple Music and started playing the album. I skipped to the first song I hadn't heard, which was called Like To Be You.

The song started playing. A small smirk appeared on my face when I heard Shawn sing. When Julia started singing with me my jaw unhinged. Their voices blended together so well. The song reminded me of The Middle by Zedd and Marren Morris.

"You're voices really blended together well," I said when the song was over. Shawn smiled. He bit his lip as Fallin All in You started playing.

The song really reminded me of Ed Sheeran's style. I started crying halfway through it. When it ended I paused and tried to compose myself again.

"That is a great song. Amazing."

Particular Taste started playing. I started moving my head to the beat. When I heard the lyrics my jaw dropped. I rested my head on my hand and listened to the lyrics.

"This song is not about me. But it's a bop." Shawn laughed.

"Did you just say bop?"

"What?" I asked. Shawn laughed.

"If you were here I would punch your arm."

"Good thing I'm not there." I stuck my young out at him and he copied me.

The next song was called Why. I was basically in love at the first second of the song. I started listening to the lyrics and the song completely fit into our lives. When Shawn cursed I gave him the stink eye. He didn't move a single muscle. He just kept staring at the screen. The impact of the song hit me at the bridge. I cried again. The comments were going crazy.
