Kaitlyn's POV

I couldn't fall asleep. I was staring at the ceiling. I had been for a while. Shawn shifted and looked over at me.

"Babe, why are you still awake?" Shawn asked. I looked over at him.

"The appointment is tomorrow."

"...and..."

"And what if something is wrong? What if I get my hopes up but then they look and can't find anything that tells them their gender. When are we telling the fans? How is the gender reveal party going to happen? What if the fans hate that I'm pregnant?"

"Hey, hey, hey. It's gonna be fine, Angel. Jessica has the whole party all planned out, so you don't need to worry. The fans are going to think what they think. If they don't like it that's their problem cause these babies are going to be beautiful. The babies are going to be perfectly healthy and we will get their genders. You need to get sleep."

"I love you," I said quietly.

"I love you too, Kaitie." He placed a kiss on my nose. I giggled and cuddled up to his side.

The next morning we got up early and drove to the hospital. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. Jessica had been at the house and was setting up decorations. I had a couple people staying at our house. Everyone had been super excited.

I got called in by the doctor. I had a death grip on Shawn's hand. He chuckled. The doctor asked if Shawn was the father. When he said yes, the doctor said that the babies would be gorgeous. I gave a nervous laugh. After that everything went by incredibly fast. I was always holding Shawn's hand. I wouldn't let go. When the doctor said he found them, I didn't want to look at the screen. Shawn was looking at the screen and he was absolutely glowing. I looked back and saw the screen.

"You are having a boy and a girl!" I was so happy and overwhelmed with love that I started crying. I pulled Shawn's hand up to my heart and kissed his knuckles. "You can tell by these lines right here the difference between the genders. You've got both! And if we go over here, this is their heads. You can kind of make out the hands right here. They are perfectly healthy, you're still on schedule." She smiled brightly.

"Thank you!"

"You're welcome. I'll get you cleaned up and then I will go get your pictures for you."

When we got home there were a whole bunch of my friends and family in the house. I hugged the pictures to my chest and Shawn and I ran up stairs to change into the white clothes that Jessica got us. We went downstairs and greeted people. Jessica started having people walk outside. Luke was handing everyone water guns. I looked at Jessica curiously.

"Everyone is gonna shoot you two with either blue or pink paint."

"Oh my gosh, that sounds awesome."

"I knew you'd like it."

We walked out and everyone started cheering. Shawn and I started laughing. Jessica started explaining how everything would go. My dad was filming us from the side. When Jess said go, everyone started squirting us with paint. Everyone was screaming and yelling. Some of them started crying. I laughed. When I looked down, we were fully covered in blue and pink paint.
