Chapter 11: Clashing Wills

Her grip on his neck tightened without warning and with a strength he didn't know she had, the girl pushed him back. The hollow thud of both their weight hitting the floor echoed through the room. 

Levi's stomach lurched and churned at the same time as a strangled gasp escaped him. His widened gaze stared into her wild looking ones. 

A feeling of exhilaration shot through him. 

Levi shifted his hands and wrung them around her neck with as much force as she had with his then harshly collided their heads together. His impulsiveness earned an electricity of pain but her grip had loosened and Levi took the chance to grab at her arms, swung her around and pressed her hard against the bedroom floor. 

The thud of her body was louder this time and he heard her groan out. But she was far from done as she struggled to break free from his grip; When she did, her fist came in contact with his jaw like a  brick to the face and Levi staggered back, the strong metallic taste of blood in his mouth. 

Vision blurred, he saw her lunged at him but he stretched out his leg and used it at the back of her achilles heel and brought her down to the ground again before he got to his feet and once again gripped at her neck. 

He heard her growl. 

And returned the gesture with equal aggression. 

Head reeling,abdomen seemingly burning from the inside, Levi lifted her up by the neck and proceeded to steal her breath away by slamming her against a near by wall. 

She screamed then and thrill bit at his twisted senses. He pushed her deeper against the wall, both thumbs overlapped each other as he pressed it to her throat. His and her face were as close as touching now, and Levi felt her ragged breaths brush against his now heated skin. 

His hands started to tremble just when she started to violently pry off his hands off her, her nails scratching him and feet kicking in every  possible direction. 

Their eyes remained locked as if in another trance of battle and Levi saw again the flickering lights in her eyes. 

Dim. Light. Dim. Light. Dim. Light. Dim. Darkened. 

Her hand clutched at his chest and instinctively he pressed himself against her all the while his eyes had gotten hazy and her strength slowly waned. 

And then from below as faint as a ghost's hum, the front door rang.
