Chapter 7

Serenity POV

I woke up and began my hygiene routine and put on my clothes.

 I went to the kitchen and ate some cereal. I then went to the door and reached for the nob, then I remembered what August had done last night and I smiled to myself. I walked over to August condo door and knocked. His security guard opened it. “Hi I’m Serenity Green, I come to see Mr.Alsina” I smiled. “I remember you and if I didn’t the name would be very familiar because he talks about you 24/7.” I smiled really hard and blushed. “Mayne see bruh you telling a nigga business and shit.” August said as he came to the door shirtless. “Hey Mr. Alsina.” I said laughing with my arms crossed across my chest. Dayuumm August had a body tho. “Come in lil ma.” He smiled. “I’m not your lil ma.” I smiled and walked in. “A nigga can’t get a hug?” I rolled my eyes and hugged him and his hands were just above my butt. Lord his body and my hands on his back. God forgive me. “But I came here to see if you were still going to Sharra’s party tonight.” I asked curious. “Damn I forgot I had to sing, but yea I guess.” “It’s not I guess you are going because you told her you would sing.”

“Well damn, okay mom.” He said smiling. I laughed and pushed him lightly. “Ok then little boy.” He smiled. “You sure that’s all you wanted?” “August I’m positive.” I said with a straight face with my hands crossed. “See you tonight.” I said walking to and out the door. So this party started at 9:00 so I got a minute to go shopping or whatever. I went to Barneys New York Mall to go shopping for a few clothes and an outfit for tonight. That’s when I ran into an old friend of mine named Taylor.

“Hey Serenity it’s been soooo long. How is everything going Miss. Georgia USA?” I chuckled a bit. “It’s been going very well and I’m working on my career. How about you and how is everything holding up?” I asked. “Well I have been enjoying life and-” Then a man walked up to her and cut her off. “Hey baby the kids and I will be down the street for ice-cream.” “Ok that’s fine hunny but first I want you to meet my high school classmate Serenity.” “It’s a pleasure to meet you Miss. GA USA.” It flattered me when people know who I am. I smiled and shook his hand. “My name is Michael Northly.” He said smiling. “Well Taylor Clark Northly didn’t bother to tell me she was married with kids.” I said and we laughed. “And expecting.” She said smiling. “Taylor! Do you know if it’s a boy or girl?” “It’s surprisingly another boy! You know I have a girl and a boy. My baby boy Jordan is the oldest and Kyla is the youngest until her little brother comes.” I smiled. “Well I better be going I have a few errands to run but if you all want to a party will be hosted at 450 West 31st Street New York, NY 10001, here put your number in my phone and I’ll text you all the information.” After she put in her info my phone went off and I had a txt from Sharra saying the theme is prom so bring your prom date…. “And the theme is prom so bring your prom date.” I said smiling.

Once we were finished talking I went and shopped around a little more and then left the store at 5:50.  I was walking to the car when I heard someone call my name and I slowly turn around to see Steelo Brim my old boyfriend from high school. “Steelo?” I dropped my bags and ran over to him and jumped on him a rapped my legs around him. He was one of closest friends and honestly I liked the way this felt. He put his hands under my butt and I began to laugh, but God has he gotten sexier since high school, and his cologne smelled so good. While he was still carrying me he went and picked up my bags and then took me and sat me on the trunk of his car. We just stared at each other.

I couldn’t take it any longer. So I grabbed his face and pulled it into mine and we began to kiss. Then he took me off the trunk and put me on my feet and held my back and he lend into me. When we stopped (finally) I hugged him and we hugged super tight. I didn’t want to let go. We were high school sweethearts and in high school I told everyone he would be the guy I would marry but when he moved we didn’t have a chance. “You are so beautiful Serenity, or should I say Miss. Georgia USA. Congrates!” We hugged with his hands on my back. I grabbed his hands and out them on my butt and made him squeeze it. Tehe. He chuckled a little. “Umm let me see your phone.” He gave it to me and I put my number in it and we took a selfie with Steelo behind me.

I was getting a little turned on by him just looking at me. While he was behind me I backed up into him and put his hands on my waist. “Soo there is this party tonight and it’s a prom theme I’m wearing blue and if you wanna do a throw back like in high school….” I smiled and he laughed. “I wish I could Te but I gotta work tonight.” I frown and pouted. “Come on Te you know how work is.” I pouted even harder the he started to tickle me. “Ah stop Steelo I’m gonna pee my pants.” I was laughing so hard and he was laughing to but if he didn’t stop tickling me I was not gonna be responsible for his injuries. I hugged him and laid my head on his chest and he laid his head on mine and fiddled with my hair. “Te look I gotta go to work but I’ll call you as soon as I get off ok.” “Ok.” I put my head down. “What’s up Te?” “It’s just Steelo you boys don’t understand I love you….(silence) I’m in love with you. But I like some else also.” (silence) “Te, do you think there was a day that went by that I didn’t think about you when I left? I love you enough that I want you to be happy even if that is setting you free to someone you want to be with.” (He says slowly>) I…. Love…. You…. Serenity Makayla Green and if I could go to the moon and back to make you happy I would because that’s how much you mean to me.”

He kissed me. I began to cry. “Are you crying?” He asked me laughing a little. “Noo It’s just my allergies.” I said chuckling a little bit. He kissed me again and then he kissed my neck and then picked me up and spun me around. The walked over to the grass and sat me down and he sat beside me. I pushed him down on his back and lay on top of him. I was tired so I fell asleep. When I woke up we were still there and he was smiling at me a playing in my hair. “Somebody was tired.” He chuckled and I smiled. He kissed me on my head and I pecked his lips. “You ready to go?” he asked. “Yea but what time is it?” “Well it’s time for you to get a watch. No I’m kidding it’s 7:00pm.” I laughed and nodded. Steelo walked me to my car and held the door open for me to get in and once I got in I rolled the window down. He put his arms on the window seal and leaned in. “Be safe, ok Te?” I rolled my eye and laughed “Ok. And you too daddy.” “Ok daughter.” He leaned in to kiss me but I stopped him. “I don’t think you should kiss your daughter that much.” He laughed and said. “Well then Te but for real I love you and be safe.” “I will and you be safe too and I love you too.” He kissed me and got off the car and I began to drive to my condo. Once I made it I took a bath and thought about that stuff with Steelo. I was in love with this man.
