Chapter 15

Serenity POV

Then her heart monitor went straight out and I stumbled backwards. Steelo was behind me to hold me up. “No, they gotta get her back! NO, THEY GOTTA WAKE HER UP! She's just sleep, Adaora is strong she's just sleeping you can wake her back up!” I burst out crying into Steelo's chest. “Everything is okay Te, just calm down.” He walked me to a chair in the waiting area which was empty only a few people there who were grieving over a lose. I laid my head on his chest and cried my eyed out and Steelo rubbed my back. “Shh it's ight Te. Dora wouldn't want you crying over her.” He said whipping and few tears from his eyes. Then he took his thumb and whipped my tears away. “It should've been me!” Steelo shook his head at my comment and replied “No don't say that. God has his own plan.” I thought about that the whole while until I drifted off to sleep. What was God's plan?

I woke up the next morning in the hospital's waiting room at 12:10p.m. due to Steelo shaking me awake. So it wasn't a dream. “Doctors said we can go in her room to see her.” I looked up him confused and half asleep. “Okay.” I said sleepy and rubbing my eyes. I woke up during the night and couldn't got back to sleep. I was so sleepy I fell on Steelo and he had to lift me up to walk me in the room. When we went in we walked to her bedside. She was just laying there smiling with her eyes open. My eyes shot open. “Yea I'm alive. I asked the doctor before you two showed up was I going to live. He replied to me that's only up to you.” She said weakly. Tears began to fall from my eyes as I leaned down and kissed Dora on the cheek. “Stop all that crying. Stop being a big crybaby.” We all laughed at her comment and sat by her bedside. “Now what did you want to talk to me about Te?” Adaora asked me. I shook my head and replied “You are way to weak to talk about anything.” “I am never too weak for my sister. Plus I am fine.” I gave up “Okay, okay.” I paused and looked at Steelo. “Could you step out for just one minute?” He nodded and spoke “Yea sure but I'm your friend too....” I nodded and replied “But I don't like hearing I told you so when you never told me, but you were thinking it, so basically you did tell me.” He nodded his head and got up. “Ok you can hear.” I said shaking my head smirking a little.

Steelo came over and sat back down beside me. I layed my head on his chest and fiddled with his necklace while talking. “So you all know I was dating August right? So um I kinda caught him in bed with another woman after we had an argument....” Adaora and Steelo's eye grew wide. Steelo just sat there shaking his head. “You aren't going back to him are you?” I sat up and humped my shoulders at Adaora's question. “What do you mean you don't know?!” Steelo asked and demanded at the same time. I just looked at him and rolled my eyes a little. “Don't roll yo eyes at me.” I looked at him and rolled my eyes again. He sucked his teeth and replied “You know that turns me on Te.” “Kiss my bum bum Steelo.” I said with a straight face. “I would be glad to.” He winked, licked his lips and bite them. “Comer.” he said taking my chin and kissing my lips. I kissed back and we broke lose when Dora spoke “Please get a room. Now y'all trying to kill me of disgust.” I giggled a bit and stood up from the chair and spoke. “ Well I will be back later to check on you. I'm going to the store later, is there a snack you want me to bring back?” “Yea, a big bag a Cheeto Puffs, Tea, and McDonald’s.” Dora replied. I shook my head and stated to her “I didn't say a meal I said snacks but because it's you, I guess.” Steelo then stood up “I'm heading out to I have to be at work 2:00 till 8:00p.m. I nodded my head and made a smart remark “Oh and we care because.” Steelo laughed a little and started tickling me and he picked me up. Then Steelo spoke to Dora while holding me like a baby “I gotta take the toddler to get her sippy cup.” We all laughed and he put me down and after that we went out of the room.

Steelo and I walked down the hallway. “Where are you parked?” He asked me. “I'm part in the front.” I said pointing a little. “Oh I'm in the back but I'll walk you to your car.” Once we got outside to my car we stood there and talked for a little until we hugged and he kissed me forehead. I laid my head down on his chest and to one last smell of his cologne. Then I hear someone call my name and I turned around to see August. Steelo stepped in front of me. “Mayne I just want to talk to her.” Steelo nodded his head “You gone be ight Te?” I spoke “Yea I'll be fine.” Steelo nodded and said his goodbyes and walked off. “What do you want?” August stepped a little closer to me “You. Serenity I want you and only you. I want to see your face every morning beside me when I wake up. I want you to have my children. I want you to be there every step of the way. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Then he got on one knee and spoke “Serenity Makayla Green I want to be your wife, and I want you to be my husband.. I want to be your husband and I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?” He had already slid the ring on my finger.

I was crying “August, Yes!” I he got up and picked me up and spun me around. He sat me down and he kissed me and I kissed back. He squeeze me tight and hugged me.

It's sequal time.. This may be the last chapter to Pretty Hurts I'm thinking about a sequal.
