Ben's P.O.V:

Walking through the hallways, I was alone like usual. I had friends - but not many of them. I usually had lunch and hung out with the guys in my band. I stopped by Jenna's locker, waiting and hoping for her to come by.

No luck. As I began to walk away, I just so happened to spot Brad further down the hallway. Hoping he hadn't seen me, I turned to walk the opposite way. I wasn't exactly scared of him, just wanted to avoid any trouble. I couldn't be that lucky though. I felt a hand grab my backpack and I was slammed into the lockers face-first.

"Let's make this simple and easy for you - I want Jenna back so you'll need to back off. She was mine before you showed up, after all" he ordered.

"Jenna can choose who she wants to spend her time with, mate. And honestly, it most definitely will not be you" I smiled, knowing it would irritate Brad.

"What makes you say that?" The male questioned, raising an eyebrow as he folded his arms.

"Think about it. She's going to be off recording with her band and playing gigs whenever she can. She won't have any time left for an asshole like you" I shrugged.

"She's turned into a music nerd like you... for good?" Brad furrowed his eyebrows, shaking his head. He thought her parents would have opposed to her being in a band.

"Yes. She's finally got things going well with her parents as well as me. You can't go stuffing things up. She made it obvious - really, really obvious - that she's done with you" I explained with a small shrug before turning around and walking off.

Did the guy ever give up? For someone who is so popular, he'd have plenty of girls interested in him and for someone as big of a douche as himself, you'd think he'd move on quickly - apparently that's not the case.

"Guess who?" A familiar voice asked as I felt two hands covering my eyes from behind me. It was Jenna, which I was glad about.

"Hmm... I'd be very happy if her name is Jenna" I smiled, turning to face her. That's when I saw her green hair for the first time, my eyes widening in surprise.

"What? Don't you like my hair?" Jenna asked, looking down at her shoes with a frown. Why did she think that?

"No! It's... it looks amazing on you" I replied, messing the top of her hair playfully. I was surprised at how well she pulled it off, I didn't think it was possible for her to look even better than she already did.

"Oh, thank you" Jenna replied with a giggle, smiling sheepishly a she looked back up at me.

"So, what is it like being signed?" I asked, putting an arm around Jenna's shoulders as we began to walk off.

"Oh yeah, about that..." Jenna trailed off, looking down at her feet as we walked. What was wrong?

I then remembered how weird I was acting yesterday, having sent a short reply to Jenna without telling her truly how excited I actually was for her. I guess I let being jealous get the better of me, and I think she noticed.

"Oh, I'm sorry for my short reply, I was just shocked. Not that I thought you didn't deserve it, because you do, but-" I started rambling, before being cut off by Jenna placing a finger against my lips as she stopped in front of me.

"It's okay, Ben. I get it" The green-haired girl laughed, flashing her perfect smile.

I needed to stop being so attracted to Jenna. We had to be friends and nothing more. Well I'm pretty sure that's all she wants, especially after just getting out of her relationship with Brad. I guess I'll have to see what happens...
