"Althea."

"Just trust me."

Jade bit her lip.

"I swear, if I trip, you're going to pay," she warned the woman holding her hands. Althea only laughed at her.

"I got you, love. I won't let you fall, but if you do, I'll always be here to catch you," she said to her. She wanted to laugh at that cheesy line.

"Too late. I've already fallen," she replied. She didn't have to peek from her blindfold. She knew the way Althea grip on her tightened and when she heard her clear her throat that she was blushing. The thought made Jade's lips form into a smirk. "Cat got your tongue, love love?"

"Oh just you wait."

Another bubble of laughter escaped her. She could already feel Althea's glare so she had to bite her lip just to be able to stop.

"You really need to stop doing that."

Before she could ask, she felt Althea's fingers on her chin, her thumb gently tugged at the skin, causing her to release her lip from between her teeth. Althea moved closer, her warmth radiating, and her lips within breathing distance.

Jade gulped, anticipation rising.

Then she felt the cold and heard a chuckle.

"Cat got your tongue, love love?" Althea mocked.

"I hate you," she growled out of embarrassment, but Althea went on.

She kept silent.

"Hey. Jadey."

She didn't budge. She wasn't really mad though. She just wanted to tease Althea a little bit. She heard a sigh and felt arms around her waist.

"Are you mad at me, love? Hmm?" she asked and kissed her cheek. A smile tugged at her lips, but she still didn't respond.

"Jadey? Love."

"Althea!" she shrieked. Althea was now tickling her side. She squirmed, but the woman's arm held her in place.

"Okay, I'm not mad. Just-- just stop," she said, trying to catch her breath from laughing.

Althea chuckled. She stopped and kissed her cheek again before tightening her arms around her.

"Thei, can you please remove this blindfold now? This is starting to get a little too Fifty Shades," she said, making Althea laugh.

"Fifty Shades, huh?"

"Althea."

"As you wish, my love."

Althea removed the blindfold. As soon as her eyes adjusted, she marveled at the sight before her. They were on the hilltop overlooking the city. The crescent moon was smiling on the horizon, the sky was mixture of blue and purple with fast fading pink and orange streaks. The city lights glowed like the stars above it.

"Wow," she whispered.

Althea's arms wound around her, enveloping her in a welcoming warmth. She rested her chin on Jade's shoulders, the latter leaned back and gently touched her cheek.

"Like it?" Althea asked.

"Love it. It's beautiful," she answered, kissing Althea's right cheek. "What's the agenda for tonight?"

"Dinner, conversation, and stargazing. Also, a bit of music and dancing."

"I like the sound of that. Where do I sign up?"

Althea laughed and held her hand to lead her to the picnic mat that had been laid out and set for tonight's occasion.

"Right here, m'lady."
