Walking confusion's pov
I felt like I was one of those super heroes that lost their super strength and had no idea how to live their lives anymore.
Like, you know? Mystique in the X-men movie awhile ago, when she got hit by the cure gun that turned her from a mutant into a normal person? Or when Peter Parker played by Toby couldn't shoot webs anymore in Spider man 3? Like that.
Everyone was having fun on the stage but I was still here, in my own head. Worrying about Peter. Tom must've noticed something was wrong because he asked.
"You alright?"
"No. I'm not." Just had a suffocated death and woke up to find out I'm part of the fucking Avengers cast, I'm not okay mister Quackson.
"Hold on, okay? Most of the cast is here. We also need to take a group picture and watch the trailer."
"Tom why was I even invited here? I didn't play in Infinity War."
"What even is that question?" He chuckled. "Everyone loves and is obsessed with you like a shiny new toy. In fact... spoiler alert, you hinted to me yourself that Kevin said you will play in Avengers 4."
"....but I died" I tried to keep it quiet as we were still on the stage, while the adults were speaking.
"Bringing a character back to life is not impossible, Love."
Tom saying Love will be the death of me.
I died in that world and now I'll die here again.
"....Robert Downey Junior!!!!" Kevin shouted and I flinched. I looked to the side to see RDJ walked up the stage, looking fabulous as hell. The applause and roaring was as loud as a thunderstorm.
I couldn't hold myself back and accidentally screamed along with the crowd, because after all I was a fan and Jesus Christ, that was Robert Downey Junior.
"Yeah!!" I yelled and the whole cast looked at me and laughed.
"...." Oh shit, I wasn't supposed to do that.
"Daughter in law." RDJ smiled then hugged me tight, it felt exactly like hugging Tony Stark, well they're basically the same person anyway.
He smelled so rich what the heck.
They said welcome to RDJ then all of us was told to sit down to watch the trailer. I mean, I've seen the trailer, the one from YouTube, but I've been told that the version in the D23 expo was different.
