"Don’t forget to finish the reading tonight, our test is in two days!” the teacher yelled.

I rolled my eyes. This was the stupidest English class that I have ever been in. I have never met a group of people as stupid as the ones in this classroom. How the hell I ended up on this class, I will never understand, but now it makes sense as to why Luke isn’t in my class.

“Hi, I’m Jay.”

I looked up and saw a tall, dark haired boy standing in front of me.

“Can I help you?” I asked.

“You’re the new kid, right?” he asked.

“Well, have you seen me before?” I asked.

“No, that’s why I asked if you were new.”

            I rolled my eyes.

“Yes, I’m new.” I said.

“Want me to show you around?” he asked.

“I want you to turn around and leave me alone.” I told him.

“That doesn’t answer my question.”

“No.” I said. “No, I do not want you to show me around. I have friends, you know. I’m not a complete loser and I have my sister as well. I know my way around and I don’t need any help from you or any of these other idiots in here.”

Jay started blankly at me. He started to say something else when the bell rang.

“Oh thank God!” I cried.

I grabbed my bag, stood up and ran out of the classroom.

“I am so done with this school.” I mumbled.

I started walking towards the front of the school when Luke stopped me.

“Hey, is everything okay?” he asked.

“Mostly, I just hate my English class.” I said.

“Oh, okay. I’m sorry.” Luke said.

“It’s okay, only two months to go.”

“Are you headed home now?” Luke asked.

“Yeah, Ashton’s taking me home.” I told him.

“Alright, have a good day. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Luke smiled.

“Alright, see ya.”

Luke and I walked our separate ways and I glanced down at my phone.

3 missed calls

2 new messages

1 new voicemail

Who called me? Nobody ever calls me. I shoved my phone back into my pocket and pushed through the double doors at the front of the school. I looked around for Ashton’s car and found it in the corner of the parking lot. I quickly walked across the sidewalk and headed towards him. As I got closer, I heard All Time Low coming from the speakers and Ashton singing along.

“She works for the weekend, mixtape of her favorite bands. Tearin' up the radio lost in the stereo sound. She's trouble in a tank top pretty little time bomb, blowing up I'll take you down, living in the radio lost in the stereo sound”

            I smiled.

“She's dancing alone, I'm ready to go but she's so (Lost in stereo, lost in stereo) She's out of control, so beautiful (Lost in stereo, lost in stereo) And I've been waiting for so long but she'll never know I'm losing hope 'cause she's so (Lost in stereo, lost in stereo)”
