See You Again

P R O L O G U E

"Jungkook, why are we here?" Jimin asked the young man sitting beside him as he closed his eyes in a placid manner, immersing himself in the tranquility of the ambience of where they are as of the moment.

The latter took a glance of him and couldn't deny to himself of how beautiful and soothing such view of Jimin it was.

He vigorously admired the ethereal magnificence of his hyung and couldn't help but smile as he returned his gaze at the sea that was just right in front of them, together with the dazzling night sky above it, filled with immeasurable stars scattered, bounded in a never-ending line.

"To forget," Words that have passed through his lips, with every memory and moment he and Jimin have spent together throughout the trip dashing right before his eyes like a mirage in retrospect.

Jimin hummed in agreement, as if he was hinting the young man to elaborate further. Jungkook complied soon as he catches the cue.

"To forget every nightmare, every misery, everything we fear of having, even just this once. To forget... our reality."

It took them a minute or two, both stunned by the oasis of serenity within the silence dominant amongst them.

No words were spoken, but the quietude itself already meant everything, as of it has already spoken for them upon everything they've wanted to express.

'Til the young man decided to break the stillness within and asked, "What about you, what do you think? Why are we here?"

Jungkook stared at his hyung as Jimin tried to stay still from his position, his head towards the direction of the starlit sky with his eyes still closed. Suddenly his lips curved up and showcased a beautiful yet melancholic smile.

The smile Jungkook has always been wary of seeing.

"To remember," Jungkook felt curious with Jimin's response.

He knew it was in contrary to what he had said but Jimin had something contained by his words. Something mysterious he couldn't seem to understand. Jimin opened his eyes and immediately turned to look at the young man and smiled genuinely, which made the latter feel flustered.

"To remember how life's not that bad at all. That despite all these shit we're facinf, somehow it's painfully still worth living."

An entire week road trip of two young men with no particular destination, just an aim "to remember" and "to forget". Looking for answers that are never found and are to no avail, but still learning. In search for who they truly are, with the hopes of never growing up—after all, it's a trap.

[A/N] : You will have to forgive me if I couldn't express much on my writing, especially that to write in Third Point of View is a first for me, definitely not my expertise. Hopefully, you still love it hihi.
