Chapter 8: More Than Words

Jungkook felt sleepy, but his system was already roused. He yawns as he slowly open his eyes, awaken by the glinting sunlight that pierced right through the window. As he let his eyes wander across the room, trying to remember what happened last night, his eyes landed on Jimin who's currently lying beside him at his most peaceful state, still asleep, with the young man's arms enclosed around his waist, holding him tight. He couldn't prevent himself from smiling so wide, remembering how they spent the entire night, Jimin suggesting him to make random sketches and painting, playing in the couch like little kids while watching TV, ordered pizza and fries for midnight snacks on a 24-hours open fastfood, and soon they got tired and ended up lying on the bed, cuddling while chattering about things they wanted to talk about. Spoke to each other 'til their drowsiness caught up to them.

"Good morning to the most beautiful man I'll always love 'til eternity," Jungkook whispers right through the older's ears. He cringes at his words as he giggles, slowly propping himself up with his elbow as he elevates his stance to have a closer and better view of Jimin with his eyes closed, too engrossed on his sleep. As he stares at him, he couldn't help but to admire the man more.

He was truly an angel in disguise. Seeing him at his most serene state makes it more convincing to believe. Jungkook finds it cute how the older snores breathily, like a soft hiss. He unconsciously extended his index finger, making its way on Jimin's physical features, starting on his forehead leisurely tracing it down his pointed nose with his eyes following his finger's lead, studying every inch of the older's face from his lengthy lashes that makes his eyes amiable to his natural rosy cheeks he wouldn't mind pinching all day. And not to mention his plum lips that are way too attractive for him to resist. He was too spellbound by the older's beauty, he couldn't seem to escape such snare. Not that he intended to, he definitely won't mind being captivated by Jimin.

Jimin's confession about his dream of becoming a singer, an artist perhaps, remains vivid on Jungkook's memory. It was not the revelation that keeps him bothered, but Jimin's tonality that had left him wondering. He sounded as if he had to cross hazardous rivers, or climb never-ending queue of Everest-like mountains, or jump off a thousand feet cliff. And the only thing he could think of was to protect the man at all cost.

"Make him remember his almost forgotten dream."

Maybe that was what Namjoon truly meant when he said it to Jungkook. And he didn't really need to be reminded at all, God knows he'd be more than willing to help Jimin take the path he's meant to walk on. Jimin did so much for him, he'd do everything just to pay him back. He can't just easily conclude whatever is hindering Jimin from reaching this dream of his, whether they both are in the same case, stuck in all these business shits, but he'll be sure to defend Jimin and lend his hand to him anytime he'll need it.

He'll always be there for him, just like how Jimin is always there for the young man too.

"Stop staring, I'm trying to sleep here," Jungkook snapped out from his thoughts and got startled when Jimin suddenly spoke. He didn't know what to do the moment the older's eyes opened and caught him with his finger still on Jimin's nose.

"I— I didn't—" He stuttered trying to avoid Jimin's gaze and immediately removed his finger off Jimin. The latter laughed at him as to how the young man looked so cute whenever he suddenly feels shy in the presence of him.

"Good morning," Jimin states as he sleepily tried to rise, leveling Jungkook's posture and kissed him. He could feel the young man's lips curving up into a pleasant smile as he kiss back. They stayed there, lying on the bed, filled with morning kisses and squishy converse with each other, talking about what they've dreamt of last night.
