It was another extravagant and spendthrift—however people describe it as—banquet of the elites in the business industry that was for the nth time, in need of his presence for being the only heir of the great ancestry of 'The Jeon'.

People envied him for that, for being the Jeon Jungkook people have already looked up to even at a very young age, knowing he's the only one to inherit everything his descendants have built.

Sure it was kind of spectacular, but it definitely sucks for him. All these business and company hierarchy, the legacy of his family everyone had been laying on his back since immemorial, it was burdensome.

He just really didn't like the idea of all these. But he knew, even if he loathes it all, he was in no position to decline. Nor did he even have the courage to do so.

"Son, you have to engage with other people. You can't just sit there all you want. Soon you'll have all of them under you, and you'll have to rule them. You have to get used to that." Jungkook couldn't help but to roll his eyes furtively with his father's words full of insatiability.

His father was always like this, not that he wasn't aware of. But as much as he never wanted this kind of life, he just can't seem to find a way out to all of these.

"What a fuckin' joke but then again, what's new?" He whispered to himself as he stood up from his seat and wandered around the hall. He took a deep breath and tried to mingle with every people whom he had known and had approached him.

It was too arduous knowing that he was just a 17-year-old guy and was already being forced to involve himself on this type of peers. His parents believed that it was a good thing. That while he was still young, it was what should rightfully be done, being exposed to the business industry. They like it how corporate people with big names, even the media look up to him as the very perfect heir who'll take over the throne on the business field, the perfect son of 'The Jeon'.

For him, it was clearly absurd and inappropriate. But it's not like he could do something about it. In the midst of all these people and the world of business he had his life revolve on, he felt helpless.

Everyone envied him for his luxurious life that seemed so close to perfection, but for him it felt nothing more than a dungeon. Like a prisoner trapped within the walls of endless censures and criticisms, and the need to be a well-grown man for the benefit and satisfaction of other people.

The need to be someone he's not. Living for others, not for himself.

As soon as he got tired from the pretense and everything he had to deal with in-lined to business and shits, he stood in a distance from where the crowd gathers, watches how complex such field he was forced to be in as if it was compulsory.

He smirked at the thought and was about to drink on the champagne he was holding when someone suddenly bumped on him from his side which made him almost stumble.

He felt annoyance taking over him as soon as he was able to compose himself from the sudden interaction and turned to face the person who was behind the trouble that had caused on him, only to see someone whom he least expects to be in the event.

"I didn't expect to see you there, Mr. Jeon Jungkook." The man that was standing right beside him said, with the touch of formality in his voice and also glint, from which Jungkook was completely dumbfounded as to where such glee came from, especially on this kind of place.

He scoffed and tried to process in his mind that Park Jimin, a guy from the university he's currently studying in, is here with him right now.

This surely was a new occurrence.

"Come on, Jungkook. I seriously know no one here but you. And I thank God you're here. You will have to respond with me, even if it's against your will. I can't stand another second here without being able to talk to someone whom I can speak comfortably with."
