Nagulat ako nang makakita ako ng text from Vic this late at night. We rarely text each other these days kasi, even at normal times of the day. Even so, I decided to pause my 13 Reasons Why marathon and started texting back my reply. But before I could do so, my phone started buzzing like crazy.

Luh? Anyare sa babaeng 'to? I typed 'Ok ka lang?' but before I could hit send, something had popped out of my screen.

Vic is calling...

With curled eyebrows, I answered her call.

"Hello?" I said. But no one answered. For a moment, all I could hear were loud dubstep music and the cheers of a crowd. Until finally, a familiar voice had answered.

"MIKA!" Ara screamed from the other line. "Hi! Hello!"

Lasing 'to, alam ko. Kilalang kilala ko 'yan. Iba 'yung tono ng boses niya 'pag lasing siya.

I laughed in amazement. "Hello..."

"ANO....SAGOT MO...SA TANONG KO?"

"H-Ha? Anong tanong?"

"Yung--"

"HOY VICTONARA!" I heard Kim's distant voice. "SINO YAN?!" Sumisigaw din siya, but she sounded sober.

"SI--"

"HELLO? BRUH?" I got the idea na kinuha ni Kim 'yung phone ni Ara kasi nagsisigaw si Ara sa background at si Kim na ang kausap ko ngayon.

"Bruh? Anyare sa inyo?" I asked.

"HAY NAKO BRUH! Naglasing 'tong si Bictonara! Dinamay pa 'ko!"

"Talaga ba?" I laughed to tease her.

"Punta ka nga rito!"

"Ano?"

"Dali na! Tulungan mo ko rito, please! Text ko sayo yung place. AY PU-- HOY BICTONARA!"

"Uy hala anong nangyayari?"

"'WAG KA DYAN MAGSUKA, UY! HUY BA'T NAMAN--"

CALL ENDED

I stared at my phone. The last time na nagsuka si Ara because of too much alcohol intake (that I know of) is noong college pa kami. Naglalasing lang siya to the point na nasusuka na siya 'pag sobrang problemado na siya. Which is why I can't stop wondering kung bakit siya naglasing ngayon. Eh paano ko ba naman kasi malalaman, wala na ako alam sa buhay niya, eh.

Nag-vibrate ulit phone ko and I saw that Kim had texted me. She texted me the place and told me to come ASAP. I rolled my eyes, changed into my pang-alis and drove my way to the place.

Pagdating ko dun, I found Ara and Kim sitting on the pavement outside the place.

"Uy, ano ginagawa niyo dyan?" I said and made my way to them.
