Ch.18. Back

It's been a month now that I've come back to the US. The friends that I thought I had here, weren't my friends anymore. We were like strangers now. But now I know what true friends are.

I missed them so much.

"Skype request from Nana". A icon popped on my iPad screen.

I accepted it.

"Annyeong!!" Nana said.

"Annyeong!!"

"How have you been? We've missed you so much." Nana said.

"I've been good. I've missed you guys so much too. How is everyone?"

"Good. Well.. Most of us are. Chanyeol and me started dating but...Sehun. He's not doing to well. His mother was sick and she just passed away. The funeral is in two weeks."

"What?!? " Sehun's mother died!! I felt so terrible for Sehun. He probably feels like the world just turned against him.

"Yea. He's been so depressed that he hasn't been able to go to school. He won't even eat anymore. I'm scared for him... I'm scared that he might do something that will turn his world around. In a bad way."

"I'm afraid too.". I said.

"Soo Ah please come back. Sehun needs you. He's been crying so much. More then all of us have ever seen him cry."

Then I heard my mom yell from downstairs. "Sonya!! Come eat!!"

"I got to go Nana. I'll talk to you again."

Sehun. Mehanae(sorry). And I couldn't be there to comfort him. Sehun depressed? I never thought that I would here those two words in the same sentence.

I went downstairs to eat dinner. I was hungry but I kept on thinking about Sehun and his mother.

We sat down and at dinner.

I just kept quiet and thought about Sehun. I wanted to go back so badly.

Everyone was eating until I finally said

"Mom, dad, I want to go back to Korea."

Everyone just stared at me like I was crazy.

"Sonya, I don't know if we can send you again." My dad said to me.

"Someone needs me. Especially right now. My friend, his mother passed away."

My parents continued to stare blankly at me.

"Please. Just let me finish school there or at least the school year. Please. I won't cause anymore trouble. I promise."

They were still staring at me.

"Please. I'll earn the money myself. Please."

"Honey you have to understand. We don't think we can afford to send you there again."

"That's why I said I'll pay! Please just think about it. I'll get a job!! I'll do anything!! Here I can't even learn!!"

That night I laid in my bed trying to make out what my parents were saying in their room. I only heard bits and mumbles.

"Sehun. Mehanae.(I'm sorry)". I said to myself and fell asleep.
