Chapter 7 - Flashbacks

(Putty's Pov)

Today was the day that we were going to go look for Ash; I'm not going to lose anybody else, not again (Roll credits). I packed my backpack full of supply's that would be needed, after all this is gonna be a long journey. After I was finished packing I went to the villages gates to be greeted by Sky, Jerome and Mitch. "You ready?" Mitch asked, "As ready as I'll ever be" I said knowing that this sort of one of those "do or die" moments. We started our journey into the woods when I realized that I haven't pulled out the map that Preston gave me. When I pulled out the map a necklace came out with it. On further inspection I realized that it was the necklace my parents had given me before they left.

//Flashback//

"Putty come here" My Mother yelled, I ran inside my house to see my parents sitting at the dinning room table. "What is it" I asked my parents. My Mom then proceeded to put a small wooden box on the table and pull out a necklace. By further inspection the necklace was quite simple; it was just a silver circle attached to a black cord. My mom then began to speak "Putty this is a very important necklace its been in our family for generations; take good care of it possesses a great power". I was confused by what my mom meant by how it 'possesses great power'. Before I went back outside my dad told me ill need to use it one day in the distant future, ounce again I didn't understand what he meant. I put on the necklace and go back to playing.

//Flashback//

(Still Putty's Pov)

I hated that memory because that was the day before my parents left. I was so angered by the thought I took the necklace and I threw it on the ground. Sky realized and picked it up and looked at it closely, while me, Jerome and Mitch looked at the map. The map was actually simple, it seemed that we had to follow this path until we reached a small lake. We then had to go threw a cave, lastly we had to walk across a large open plain.

"Guys in order to save Ash were going to have to go deep under water and last time I checked none of us have gills" Mitch stated. Mitch made a very good point, none of us were fish and would drown if we went to deep. Before I could make a plan Jerome chimed in "I know a guy who can help us". "Well unless he's some kind of sorcerer I don't think he can help" I retorted to Jeromes statement. "Oh but dear Putty you are wrong because in fact he is a sorcerer".

I was actually surprised, how did Jerome know a sorcerer. I was going to ask him but Mitch beat me to the question "How do you know a sorcerer" "Oh, he used to stop by our village a lot and help us out. Sadly he died from old age but his apprentice Seto is the new sorcerer" Jerome replied. "Well than its settled well go to Seto's place on our way" I said. We all agreed except Sky who was starring intently at my necklace. I heard him mumble something inaudible.

"What was that" I asked Sky, He looked up at me and walked closer. "Where did you get this" He asked like he couldn't believe what he was looking at. "My parents gave it to me when I was little, They said 'It possesses great power' What ever that means" I said wondering why it was so important to Sky.

(Sky's Pov)

I cant believe that Putty had this necklace, it's rumored to be very hard to find and here I am holding it in my hands. When Putty said that she didnt know what it meant that it has great power I was surprised her parents didn't tell her what it can do. "Putty first of all this is more of a ring than a necklace and second when you put it on your finger you'll be able to see whats happening somewhere else" I stated while everyone starred at me like I was insane.

Putty grabed the necklace out of my hand and put it on her finger. For a moment she didn't move or do anything she just stood there, She than pulled it of her finger and looked around to reassure where she was. "We should get going now" She said looking back from were we came. "Why whats wrong?" Jerome questioned, "Sky and Mitch's Parents are looking for us, if we don't move now they'll find us" Putty answered. None of us questioned Puttys so we just kept walking the path, this is going to be a long journey.
