Chapter 8 - The Journey Begins

(Authors note: Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in 3 month I forgot for the entire summer then school got in the way but I'm back with another chapter so enjoy)

(Jerome's Pov)

After Sky described this magical ring/necklace thing that lets you see what's happening somewhere else she used it and figured out that Adam and mitch's parents are looking for us we started our long journey to save Ash. No one was saying anything so there was complete silence except for our feet hitting the ground and animals wandering around. Two hours had passed and i heard something far in the distance,

"Hey guys, you hear that?" I said looking around. Everyone shook their heads like I expected since i'm a bacca and I can hear things they can't. I could definitely hear people running frantically, around 5 of them. Everybody was staring at me, waiting for me to say something. Like as if she read my mind Putty put on the ring. Ten seconds later she took it off with a expression of worry and fear. "Guys, a group of 8 people wearing animal heads are coming, the all have iron swords except for one having a diamond" she said in a hurry.

We had no time to react because out of nowhere a man wearing a pig's head jumped out of the bush followed by 7 others, they had a cow, enderman, creeper, sheep, zombie, wither skeleton and blaze. They all had blood on their swords and clothe. The one with the enderman head and diamond sword who I assume is the leader walked up to us and said in a raspy voice

"We will capture you and you will be our servants". "No we will not be your servants were leaving" Sky retorted. They all circled us instantly so we had no chance to run. Mitch and Sky withdrawn their swords and me and Putty withdrawn our axes, we all knew there was going to be a fight. In a split second the leader attacked Mitch but lucky Mitch blocked him, Then all hell broke loose with everyone going into full attack mode.

(Mitch's Pov)

Out of nowhere the leader of the group attacked me but I blocked him last second. After that move everyone started fighting. Sky came to back me up will Putty and Jerome fought the rest, All four of us knew we were out numbered but we weren't going to be servants for the rest of our lives to a bunch of freaks. (Sorry I can't write action scenes :P)

The battle was long and gruesome but we came out on top barely. We had killed all but one who had escaped, luckily he wasn't the leader or that would have been worse. We all had wounds but none were too serious, yet we were all exhausted laying on the ground panting heavily. "W-Where... going to h-h-have to get... a move on b-before dark" Sky said completely out of breath. We all mumbled in agreement and slowly got up trudging towards the cave in the distance.

Half an hour later we made it into the cave, "Finally" Sky yelled while falling to the ground. "Shh keep your voice down this cave is deep there could be anything down there" Putty retorted. With that Sky rises to his feet looking worried. Putty had found a ledge up above that all of us could sleep on comfortably.

Jerome helped everyone up there and as soon as we were all up there everybody fell asleep. I had stayed up a bit to think, today was only our first day and were all exhausted we could barely even walk. How are we going to make it the of the way? No im doubting myself and my friends to much we can make is through this, I'm sure of it and if not we should die trying."Hang tight Ash, well be there soon" I whispered to myself dozing off.
