"Lee!!!"
Something was calling my name when I woke up against the warm fur of the friendly wolf. It came again but this time, I recognized the voice. It was Jack. I heard his footsteps get closer but I couldn't get up. I was still too weak. Jack came into sight as he reached the door. The wolf started whining until it turned into a growl.
"Lee!" he tried to come closer but the wolf got up and growled louder. I managed to put an arm around her neck letting her know it was ok. She backed down immediately.
Jack rushed over to me and picked my up bridal style to carry me home. I mutter for the wolf to follow and she did eagerly. It was bitterly cold and it was still damp so it didn't help my situation very much. I started coughing uncontrollably as we neared the house.
Once we were inside, he layed me inside on my bed and started ranting on about how worried he was. Apparently, Sam had gone home and Dylan was asleep.
"I'm sorry..." I muttered weakly.
"What I ..... Lee please, never do that again."
"I won't, I promise."
He leaned down and hugged me tightly before telling me to rest and then he left. The wolf jumped onto my bed and layed her head on my chest. I started coughing again so she moved her large head and layed it on my stomach instead.
What's up with this wolf? It's incredibly smart and kind. She needs a name..... hmm..... what about..... Rose. She's beautiful like a rose so why not?
I slowly fell asleep again against my new friend.....
I woke up around 2:00 pm and found Dylan laying beside me. I would wake up all the time with him there. He doesn't like staying in his room at night so he chooses to stay here. His head lay on my shoulder and his arm was laying on Rose who didn't seem to mind at all.
I put a pillow under Dylan's head and sat up trying not to wake him. Rose stayed where she was, knowing that if she moved, she would wake Dylan up. I rubbed her head a bit before I got up and dragged myself down the hall.
Jack wouldn't be home now. He has work so I layed down on the couch and started watching tv. I don't really know what I was watching and I really don't care. I looked up when I heard a knock at the door. I check the clock. It read 3:34 pm. Jack wouldn't be home by now.
I got up and Immediately my head starting hurting like crazy. I held my head with one head and opened the door. Sam tackled me with a hug the moment I opened the door.
"I was so worried about you!" she mumbled into my chest.
My gaze softened and I hugged her back surprising her. I stepped back and held my head again. The head ache was getting worse. Sam looked at me concerned the made me lay back down on the couch while she got me something for the head ache.
I started blushing when she layed down beside me on the couch. Man I'm not used to being so close to other people.
"I.... I uh..... what are doing?' I asked.
"Hmm? Oh I'm staying here until your head stops hurting and there isn't another chair in the living room is there?" she stated.
It's true all we have is a couch. Eh we were just to lazy to get another chair or something for the living room. I lay on my side and she had her back against my chest and was slowly falling asleep. I closed my eyes but then I heard a scream.
I immediately sat up to find Sam sitting on the counter and Rose trotting around the kitchen. Sam looked absolutely terrified. I hurried up and knelt down beside Rose and pet her letting Sam know she was friendly. She slowly got down and crept toward me.
"Why the hell is there a wolf in your house!?!?!" she questioned me.
"This is Rose. She kept me warm last night when I got lost in the forest. She's very kind."
She was about to say something else when I started laughing uncontrollably again. Rose started whining as Sam helped me to my room where Dylan was playing on my laptop. I didn't care I mostly play games on it like Minecraft or horror games.
He looked over and walked over to me as I layed down again. Dylan layed down beside me and cuddled up against my side as I finally stopped coughing and Sam layed on my other side.
Rose curled up at my feet and dozed off. Wow. Just wow. Something came up in my mind.
I am loved. Then I fell asleep.
