I packed my last suitcase into the car and hop in the passenger seat while mom starts the car and begins driving to our new home.
"Aren't you excited, y/n! Moving to a new house, having a new family!"
"Yeah," I say, "Like a new life." I have only ever met my moms boyfriend a couple times. He was really nice, and actually a good choice for my mom. But I wasn't all that happy at how fast paced their whole relationship is going.
But I am glad that we are moving in before the wedding so that we can have time to get to know each other so things don't become weird.
We have been on the road for a couple of hours now and I was starting to get antsy. "Mom, will we be there soon?"
"Yes honey, actually we are here!" I looked out the window and the car started to turn into a long pathway. "Actually I should mention that my fiancé is...well..he is..."
Beyond the pathway is an enormous mansion stretched around it with bright green grass and colorful flowers.
"He's rich!!" I exclaimed.
