The two sat in silence for the entire lunch period, painfully aware of each others' presence. Peridot couldn't help glancing at the blue haired girl every so often, both of their faces heating up every time they made eye contact for a split second.

Once lunch was over, they got up and went separate ways to their next classes. Peridot's heart was racing as she walked into the door of her history class. Who was that girl? And why is my heart beating so fast, am I sick or something??

Peridot twiddled with her sweaty thumbs the entire period. Maybe I should go home and get some rest. She went to the office and signed out, then although seemingly sick, walked home to her apartment.

I feel sick, but at the same time, that walk home was easier than ever. What is wrong with me?? Peridot didn't feel like seeing a doctor, so she just settled in and called her boss to ensure she wouldn't be at work the next few days.

At least I get a break from work for awhile. She undressed, twisted the shower knob, and stepped into the warm water. Peridot's face wouldn't stop heating, but she took her temperature and no sign of a fever showed up. What the hell? Is this thermometer broken? I just bought it a few weeks ago.

She flopped down on her bed and tried to fall asleep, but images of the blue haired girl kept popping up in her mind. Peridot blushed and continued to try and fall asleep, finally succeeding after awhile.

(Sorry these chapters are so short ;u;, I'll try and write more.)
