Chapter 7. Devastated?

4 months later...

"You are coming this year and I'm not hearing any excuses . Get it?" Rishi talked, as if ordered.

"Rishi.. it's really difficult. I won't get a leave. It's the last month of my residency." Survi tried convincing her brother.

"I won't mind if you don't come at any other festival. But please, I want you here on Rakshabandhan." Rishi pleaded like a baby.

"I know right! But... Okay I'll see if I can get a leave."

"That's like my sister. I'm waiting." Rishi sounded happy and Survi could sense his smile.

"Doctor, only 2 days. Not more. I'll be back on tuesday."
Survi was  in the cabin of head Physician of the hospital, who happens to be the owner too.

"Hm. Since there are 2 more residents in neurology, and the patients are only 3 .So we will manage." Dr. Asthana, looked up to Survi and smiled. "But make sure you are back at time. It's Mrs. Shashtri's surgery on Wednesday. You have to assist Dr. Sahni there." He added.

"Sure sir. I won't delay my stay." Survi's excitement showed up in her voice.

Survi did the victory jump once out of the cabin. Later getting embarrassed seeing a couple of people looking at her with unusual frowns

Calm down.. Huff!! Home after 10 months. Yess!!

A moment later, her phone beeped with a message.

"If you keep on doing such cute antics, then I can't help but fall more for you and then you will have to pay for teasing me."

"Hahaha. Okay Mister.. I'm sorry. Now tell me how am I supposed to pay?"

"A coffe.. At your favourite cafe! Once you come back?"

"Done"

"I love you."

"Bye."

"Why are you like this Suri. ..! Don't see my love. *cry*"

"Sit and cry. I'm not gonna console you dumhead."

Next midnight. 2 am ,Ahmedabad.

"Welcome beta..." Sunita huggedSurvi.

"All of you are awake. What do I do with you people.! I'm coming after 10 months, not 10 years. You guys are too dramatic." Survi nodded in disbelief and barged in her house, breaking the sheild of three bodies blocking her way.

"Excuse me!" Sunita, Rishi and Harish said in unison, glaring at Survi.

"See .. I have this key. Key to our house.. See.. see" Survi neared all three and moved the keys in front of their eyes.

Her mother and brother only rolled their eyes at her.
"What was the need to be awake? You know about pappa's health, mamma." Survi again spoke.

"Don't complain princess. After you left, I realised how big a mistake I did by not spending ample time with you all just for the sake of business.I regret. Let me do everything I can to see you smile. You'll soon be gone, forever, to your home." Harish looked down, showing sadness.
