Chapter 10. You're so precious

If you couldn't recall, then Laksh is the same guy who texted her saying "I love you" the day she asked for a permission for leave.

Second, there are no mistakes in what I'm writing and every sentence has got a meaning. Survi talking to Abhiveer after one and a half month is perfectly correct. Now that makes you wonder who's that person whom he talks to, everyday. So that's where suspense lies.

I recheck what I write atleast 10 times.
So yeah, everything that I mention is exactly what I want.

Tuesday

"Thanks mom." Survi hugged her mother.

"Let me in at least." Sunita laughed, making Rishi chuckle.

"Sorry! Come come.."

No sooner did they settle on the couch, Ramanjeet ran inside the house.

Rishi immediately stood up seeing her and Ramanjeet jumped on him, throwing her arms around his neck.
Rishi leaned back due to the force with which Raman hugged him.

"I missed you." She closed her eyes in joy.

"Raman.. mom's here. She's looking at us." Rishi whispered.

"Oh oops." She realised her position and drew herself back from the hug.
To be met by the scene of mother daughter duo, cross handed staring at them. Ramanjeet looked down embarrassed, tucking strands of her hair behind.

A second later, they burst out laughing. All to the wonders of Rishi and Ramanjeet.

"Come on Rishi. It's been 5 years we're seeing this." Survi spoke between laughter.

Rishi and Ramanjeet looked at each other, making faces like laughing at themselves.

"And soon, I hope so, you two will be getting engaged.." Sunita moved to Ramanjeet and cupped her cheek.
"I couldn't have asked for a better companion for Rishi." She smiled.

Ramanjeet looked at Rishi who smiled in response and then hugged Sunita.

Rishi and Ramanjeet have been together since last 7 years.

"Engagement can happen only if your son proposes me for marriage. Ask him to propose me in the best possible way... or lose me" Ramanjeet danced her brows and now stood in front of Rishi, behind Sunita resting her chin on her shoulder.

Rishi lost the colour of his face with mention of engagement.

It can't happen. At least, not for next 4-5 months. Survi's culprits had to be caught and he couldn't take chance in accomplishing the plan they made.

Ramanjeet who knew the reason behind the disturbed reaction of Rishi, immediately diverted the topic and tugged Sunita to kitchen, to serve her some punjabi delicacies made by her mother.

Once Sunita and Survi were busy among themselves, Ramanjeet silently went to Rishi who was in Survi's room talking to someone on call.

"I'm scared. They're hell bent on getting me and Raman engaged. It's been like 7 months that I'm procrastinating it. They'll doubt if I do any more."
