~Alex~
"Alex! Just because you are seven now doesn't mean you can do what you want!" I hear one of my sisters, Evelyn, call out to me from the porch.
I turn sharply, my paws dragging in the ground as I look at her.
"Oh come on, I just want to go for a run!" I call out to her through our link and she laughs.
"Then I have to come with you, you know mum and dad don't like any of us going by ourselves too far from the house." She says as she begins walking down the steps of the porch.
"Then hurry up!" I say playfully, pawing slightly at the ground. She gives me an evil smirk before she begins running, once her pace is picked up enough she jumps into the air, doing a flip and landing on all four paws of her light gray wolf.
"You are very impatient," she says once she is up to my small white wolf.
Evelyn is five years older than me, making her twelve, and my ears come just up to her shoulder blade, I'm about three feet tall in wolf form."Well come on!" She says, turning so she is facing the tree line and running off, it takes me a moment before I begin chasing after her, our wolves are equally fast so I barely gain anything on her while forcing myself to go as fast as I can.
"Wait up!" I call through the link and she slows down slightly just long enough for me to get up with her before she begins running at full speed again.Having Gamma blood means that we are a bit faster than the average wolf, but not as fast as an Alpha.
My mother is the Gamma of the Blood Red pack, so is my father, but he was brought into it due to him and my mother being mates.
They haven't decided whether me or Evelyn will be Gamma once they retire, it will probably be Evelyn because she was older, but I don't mind.
I do have another, younger, sister but both me and Evelyn know it won't be her, she is only two right now, little Lila, besides, she is so innocent, I don't think any of us want to ruin that."Have you noticed dad lately?" I ask Evelyn as we both slow our way so we are trotting.
"Yeah, he seems really stressed, I haven't heard much but I do know there are a lot of rogue attacks happening near this area, that's why they don't want us running by ourselves."
"Or too close to the border," I add in, watching as a bird flies from one tree to another."I think the main one that bothered him was the Red Rose pack, you know, the one that happened a few months ago?" I question and Evelyn nods.
"The whole pack was destroyed, not a wolf left," I trail off and she sends me a quick glance."I thought one wolf wasn't accounted for?" She question, coming to a stop at the edge of the river that's runs through our pack.
"Oh, yeah, wasn't it Eleanor? The Alpha's daughter?" I question, remembering a conversation my mother, father, and our Alpha had with another Alpha over the phone.
"Yeah, a lot of packs reckon she either escaped, got captured, or got killed out of the pack borders," Evelyn says, lapping up some of the clear water of the river.
"I think she probably got killed out of the pack lands, she adds on, turning to face me."I don't think so," I say, walking over to the running water and stepping into it, letting the cool water run around my paws.
"How so?" She questions.
"Well wasn't she a runt?" I ask.
"Alex!" She growls at me.
"Hey! I don't mean it in an offensive way, just, wasn't she?" She nods.
"I don't think she would have been able to run far enough fast enough, I think they've captured her.""You have a fair point," she says before she shifts back, standing up and walking into the water.
I guess she isn't too stressed right now.
