Chapter 5 Ether and Understanding

Magic is an energy that was founded by the king, this power was gifted to his children. Because of this, they were likes gods to humans. One day the king left the world and in this event magic spilled everywhere and glued itself to everything.

Etheric energy or ether is the new energy found in the body of none royal humans and as a natural element in the atmosphere and in the ground.

This energy has become an everyday thing in today's time.

When Sora and Pando got done with are fights we went to find Nekro. He was on a roof hitting on some girl to sum it up he got kicked off and landed in a park.

The park in the area we are in is nice green everywhere with a big lake in the middle and trees surrounding it all.

Once they all got back together we crossed the park into the Central Park which was the finish line.

Then you turn around to see a city on fire a body's hanging everywhere.

(Just keep looking forward Sora don't look back)

Mr. Tux the other test supervisor came to us for our final test, A lecture. He told us the origin of ether and what we are going to do.

He goes on to explain that ether is an energy that can be used as a stepping stone for humans to evolve. They are 5 different ways you can use.

Ether is primarily used to strengthen the body to defend it and fire off attacks. But it can do so much more.

You can imagine etheric energy as a cotton candy machine. The machine being the body and the candy inside is ether. When you want cotton candy you drip inside and grab some out. Now you have the cotton candy or whatever you used your ether for and a missing hole where it used to be. In order to get more, you have to wait for your body to refill it.

The 5 basic ways to use ether. Or four paths to etheric energy.
Manipulation.
Amplification.
Separation.
Transformation.
Affinity.

Even though there are a million ways to use it the 5 paths is the most important out of that million.

Out of nowhere, three women appear grabbing the trio and throwing them into a room.

Even though it was quick Sora spotted the general advisor he had just returned the mission to this morning.

(I didn't know she was powerful)

The room was 10 meters wide and 10 meters tall.

Out of a loudspeaker in the room, the three could hear "this task is easy all you have to do is break out in your own unique way"

Sora walks up to one of the four walls and touches it. He injects his ether into the wall only for nothing to happen Sora takes a few steps back to stare at the wall.

He is faced with a challenge, a room and he has to get out of using ether because they were on the topic of ether so it only makes sense.

His master before Sora came to Atral she taught him all about ether so it was not confusing.

He punches the wall.

A wave of force covers the room shaking the room before disappearing shortly after.

Sora backs up to the very back of the room.

He jumps off the wall using a kick as a booster. Takes off sprinting at max speed using the wall as a boost.

As he is running he spins his body. Light blue energy surrounds his body.

As he reaches the wall he wants to break, he lifts one of his legs up doing a kick. The leg surrounded by all the energy that was surrounding his whole body.

As the foot slams into the wall, the wall blows away like paper in a wind storm.

Light fly into the dim room Sora quickly raising his arm to cover it.

He rakes a few steps back before leaving the room.

"Man took you long enough" A familiar voice reaches Sora's ears.

Sora turns to see his team sitting on a bench like they have been there for a long time.

"How long was I there"

"Three hours"

Those words slice through the air making Sora realize he was the last one out.

He did not even know that much time passed.

Nekro just covered his swords with ether a sliced the room in half. His room was made with an alloy strong against blunt attacks and ether but weak against sharp things.

Pando had a room weak against ether. So he just made a water spear and shoves it into the wall creating a massive hole.

Sora did not have anything sharp it was like hitting a brick wall with a wood bat.

"Looks like you were last" Pando's words cut Sora deep.

"You gotta be kidding me!!!" Sora screams knowing the two will hang it over his head for life.

Mr.Tux last piece of information is that they are going to get a new member to their team an advisor.

The advisor is the leaders of any group and gives out the quests to the rest of the team. They act as a teacher and guide, they have to be S to A rank guild Champions to qualify.

Mr. Tux leaves saying "see easy right" with a smile he vanishes.

The day ends with a Nekro and Pando teasing Sora all the way to the house.

As night begins to fall Mr. Tux is walking toward the forest reading a card he got from the guild.

As he continues his wall he feels a gaze watching him.

"Why are you following me. I am a guild master a rank A"

Me Tux says bluntly out loud as for he sensed a presence behind him.

Being a rank A is no joke. The weakest of rank A's can easily snap mountains like twigs and cleave rivers.

He turns his head to face a woman on a roof of a house right behind him.

The woman figures disappear and reappear in from of Mr. Tux.

Mr. Tux throws out a punch hoping to take out the shadow, only for the shadow to catch the mountain shattering fist.

The surrounding area behind the figure is blown away scattering everywhere.

Pulling out a blade from its sheath the figure slices Mr. Tux.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" Mr. Tux screams before falling to the ground as his neck was cut.

As the shadow lands on the floor, some of the hood moved revealing a skull mark on her face.

The high ranked assassin has just killed her target.
