Chapter 20 voice and body do not match up

It is the middle of the day, the nice and blue. But it is filled with smoke and rubble from the burning town.

You can barely see the blue, but can still tell the sky is blue.

The town is back on fire after Pando put it out. We were discussing what to do from here on about are town problem.

We are on top of a clock tower with a decent view of the town and the ocean, we are here and not in the town because some back up arrived.

They told us to take a break and let them handle it, so we took the offer much to Nekro displeasure.

We just agreed on what to do, Nekro would go and take care of the assassin problem while I and Pando will keep an eye out on the city.

Just when we were about to execute our the plan we very loud smashing noise reaches our ears.

"What now?" I turn to see a very annoyed look on Nekro face.

"Ok, change of plans Pando to the mountain next to palace with the best view of the town. You have to stop the mastermind of all of this"

"Wait how do you know that?" Pando looks at me with a very confused face when popping this question.

"Commonsense"

There has to be a mastermind. It just evil 101. Probably a royal.

"Wait if so why don't you go if you know so much?"

"Uhhhhh"

"So why don't I take care of the town, you are stronger anyway"

"NO!"

Nekro and Pando quickly turn to face me out of a confusion of me raising my voice.

"I-I am scared" I turn my back to them to hide the fear building on my face.

I force my legs to move as I tell them to get out of the clock tower. I soon find myself falling off the clock tower.

So, guys, I can't tell you about my loss to Siena, every since that moment I have fear of the day that I have to face her again.

I can't fight another Royal right now, I am so terrified.

Nekro still confused by what Tsuyoi said, continues on with the plan.

"Tsuyoi is a scared bitch...what. Also, I just noticed we are a team so it's funny that we fight solo a lot"

He soon arrives at the assassins had out, it was easy to find because they have advertising boards in dark alleys. They are kind of bad at their jobs.

Their base of operation is an abandon mansion in the middle of the forest, at the base of the mountain next to the palace. The mansion is covered in vines and holes. It is the three story's, wide as a park.

Nekro was chosen for this because one he is a massive pervert, also he is women's biggest enemy. For good or bad.

Nekro slowly opens the door hoping to be sneaky but the door says other why's. The open squeaking all over the place.

Nekro face quickly turns from confidence to an oh really face.

A dark shadow looms over Nekro as he realises he is in danger.

Nekro moves quickly to the side to avoid a knife, it scrapes his cheek leaving blood.

Nekro not wasting any time vanishes only to appear behind the cloaked person.

He is just to fast.

With two Swift strikes, Nekro's enemy drops to the floor.

Nekro slowly turns his head to find a squad waiting for him, he smirks as he walks toward them.

Smoke fills the sky, as ashes fall. The sound of burning rubble falling and hitting ground felt the air.

The town at this point was a bonfire with burning wood everywhere, the champions that went to take care of the problem are nowhere to be found.

My eyes frantically flick back and forth to find really anything in this pile of fire and wood.

As I move through what is left of the town I continue to hear loud stomping sounds. Each stomp is enough to make my feet get some air time. I continue my search as I notice that I am running toward the sound of the stomping.

As the stomps become progressively louder, the fear in my heart also increases. Sweat drips down my face as I prepare to turn a corner as time feels as if it slowed down, each centimeter of the piece of wall I pass my field of view slowly expands showing a monstrous creature.

The monster standing there in the middle of all the fire and rubble is a human. The monster looks like a human except for the floating black particles floating around it. The monster snaps its head to face me in an instant, it noticed my presence.

"Are you a champion"

What? Did that mutation just speak to me...oh no it's not a mutation that is a leviathan? A leviathan corrupted by the want of power.

Now that it looked at me, I get a clear look at his face. His face and body look like shattered glass. Each part of his body looks as if someone smashes a rock in its chest, the outer edges of its body have spikes. It has green eyes, ok that does not sound bad, but in his eye sockets is just the color green it is scary.

For no reason, it's back slumps over. Its neck does a complete 180 making his eyes below his mouth.

"I worry about this but I am going to have to kill you"

"Huh?" I am so confused it looks like a hideous monster that can completely destroy me. And it talks like a full-grown intellectual human.

While I was completely absorbed in my thoughts about his voice and body figure not matching, it dashes at me with blinding speed.

Before I could even react I realize I was flying through the air. With a cut wound from his spiky elbow.

My body comes to a complete stop at a flaming pillar that once was a support beam for a house.

With that one attack, I realize this enemy is at the level of stronger than any enemy I have fought. Except for Siena.

This is going to be a tough fight.
