Chapter 15 giant shadow

The battle starts with the giant shadow summoning a giant sword swinging it downwards.

The trio dodge but the rubble made by the slash decks Nekro in the face launching his body falling into the wall and scraping Sora and Pando.

The shadow does not let up swinging rapidly. Sora moves to avoid but the swings are so fast, only nearly avoiding them every time. 

Every swing causes massive damage to the cave and other surrounding areas

Sora manages to find an opening a launches his body into it trying to get some damage. The shadow casually swats Sora is flinging him back.

Pando takes Sora place as he flies past him joining Nekro next to the wall, nearly hitting the high ceiling before gravity forcing him into the dirt next to Nekro.

Pando is quick to use his Mandalas, he throws two healing marbles on Sora and Nekro to get them back to fighting shape.

Pando creates a wave high enough to overlap the beast, using his staff as a surfboard.

With a loud roar, the wave is completely destroyed, water shoots everywhere damaging the scenery and causing some of the ceiling spikes to fall.

Pando, on the other hand, flies toward the ground but lands on his feet.

Sora and Nekro get back into the fight.

The shadow is easily one of the strongest things they fought only second to Claire who fought Sora.

Sora thinks what Claire would do if she fought this beast but easing him out of existence was the only answer he could come up with.

The shadow's punch is easily strong destroy a countryside and a few cities with ease.

With a flash of black lighting, Nekro instantly closes the distance from him and the shadow. With a quick double slash, he damages its ankle.

(Black lightning?)

Pando following suit launching a barrage of water spears piercing the shadows other ankle.

The shadows body is not that thick, he is only just around 18 meters tall but the aura it is emitting makes him look bigger.

It falls to its knees.

Sora not far behind launches an attack with all his power.

The attack lands releasing sound waves throughout its body bouncing back and forth dealing extra damage.

The shadow in pain but trudging through hits Sora again with a hilt of the sword.

His body shoots straight into the ground destroying the floor messing with Nekro and Pando's approach strategy.

Pando comes back to help him up as Tsuyoi just went into a small coughing fit, blood dripping from his mouth.

"Sora what is a swordsman greatest weakness" Tsuyoi hearing Cynthia's voice in his head.

"Umm, I don't know"

"His sword"

"..."

"No matter how strong a swordsman is if his sword is anything as strong his him it will do massive damage. Take their weapon and use it against themselves"

(The shadows sword) 

"The shadows sword, it will do more damage than are weapons, Cut its arm and take his sword"

With that Pando and Nekro pattern change to its wrist. Nekro runs on the Shadows body with blinding speed, Pando surfs a wave to increase his agility, creating a new wave everytime the wave gets destroyed. It is like a beautiful magic show of lighting and water.

Within a minutes or two, the two slash the wrist so much that it drops the massive blade.

The blade comes crashing done stabbing right into the ground, embedding itself deep into the cave's floor.

Black blood splatters everywhere.

"Pando create something that grabs that sword, Nekro stall for time"

Pando creates a giant water golem to grab the blade. It struggles a bit to get it out but with its strength releases the sword from its dirt prison.

The golem raises the sword above its head preparing a strike. Nekro continues to annoy it so it will not destroy the golem. With his might, Sora slams the shadow with multiple sound waves behind a punch in it making an opening for Pando. With a massive downward swing, the power of Pando is too strong, the sword slams right on top of the shadows forehead completely slicing it into two and creating a shockwave so strong it blows a massive hole in the cave wall.

The force of it is so strong it sends everyone's body shooting backward doing summersaults backward a good 3 meters or 5.

After winning the injuries catch up, he was not fully healed from the fight against Claire the shadow only made it worse.

Sora lies on the dirt in a small crater, smiling like there is no tomorrow.

After the battle, Pando drags his unconscious body to the surface not help Sora's situation. Sora body does not stop smiling maybe it was because after the defeat getting a victory made Sora happy but the fact he could not do it without his friends hurt it a little.

In the chest that the shadow was guarding was...they did not tell Sora.

All Sora could tell by what a raid normally gives that it was something rare. A raid reward normally gives a lot of farg, it also gives rare spell books. Rare ones give an item that allows a user to access the first stage of their leviathans giving them access to leviathan gear or partial evolution. Tsuyoi is leaning towards the rare spells because if the two unlocked the first stage of their power would probably make Sora suffer depression.

Sora's body was put to bed, the raid was turned in, shock faces everywhere in the Champions Hall.

Sora still out cold from the fight.

Raids where not that scary just above missions there were so much scarier missions yet to be tackled.

But one thing is this night Sora slept happy, laying in bed snoring like crazy, mouth wide enough to eat a goat.
