Chapter 8

"She's hasn't took a breath yet and it's been 20 seconds."

"SHE HASNT TOOK A BREATH!"

"Calm down Ms. Mars I'm sure it'll be all right."

20.. 25.. 30.. 35.. 37..Exhale.

"SHE BREATHED! Oh thank god. She could've died!"

"Okay Ms. Mars we will be out in a minute with Grace"

"Okay thank you."

While Dylan and I are waiting, it was really awkward. Dylan and I haven't been getting along so well. He's been really bossy and pushy and haven't been so nice to me. Sarah has been keeping her distance because of him. The only reason he's still here is for the baby's sake.

"Here's Grace Marie Jacobs!" The nurse comes out with her.

She has the same hazel eyes like mine and Dylan's mouth, nose and ears. She's so pretty.

"Can I hold her Mandi?"

"Yeah." I hand Grace over to him. He looks so much more peaceful with her than me.

Few days later..

Its time for Grace and I to go him. Sarah and Dylan come and pick me up. We arrive home and Sarah said shed sty at a cheap hotel for a few weeks.

"Hey Dylan can you do something productive and feed Grace?"

"Why don't you feed her"

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me."

"I've changed all her diapers fed over half of her milk. I'm the one that gets up in the middle of the night to feed her. Why don't get your lazy butt of the freaking couch and go FEED YOUR BABY!"

"Geez. I'm going!"

The next couple days have been just fighting over the most stupid things.

Next day..

"Get out of the shower Mandi!"

"Can't you see I'm almost done!"

"Ugh she's crying again!"

"You deal with it!"

Next day..

We are fighting and I feel a sting on my arm.

"Did you just punch me?!?!"

"Yeah."

"OUT. NOW!"

"No. This is my house too now."

"Touch me and I call 911. K?"

"Okay. Geez women"

Few hours later..

I call Sarah privately outside.

"Hey Sarah?"

"Yes?"

"Pack up all you stuff. Since Christmas is in 4 days, buy plane tickets for the 24th to New York."

"So 3 tickets?"

"No Dylan's not coming. Just me and you."

"Um ok well what time should the flight be? They have 8am, 4pm and 1am"

"1am."

"Really? okay."

"Okay thanks! See you then!"

I find Dylan and tell him that me and Sarah are going to my grandmas for Christmas because I can't stand staying with him.

"Wait, where does your grandma live? I know it started with 'New' Was it New York?"

"Um erm no. It was New Jersey erm"

"Okay. Well bye hope to never see you again!" He says jokingly with a mean tone to it.
