Logan POV
The ride home was filled with silence, not an awkward silence but a silence of relief. Jordynn didn't deserve any of what happened tonight. None of this wouldn't have happened if I didn't open my mouth. I was jealous..he was a liar, and needed to be exposed.
I looked over at her as she stared out of the window, she looked shaken up and living in fear.
I cleared my throat and looked back at the road.
"What?" She asked now looking at me.
"I just wanted to say I was sorry, you know for just blurting things out like that." I kept my eyes on the road but see she was now looking at me from the corner of my eye.
"It's fine Logan if anything I should be thanking you." She said shaking her head. "I feel like an idiot, you even warned me and now look at me."
As I pulled up to her apartment complex, I looked at her and shook my head. "You're not an idiot Jordynn, I was a crazy asshole who was born with a silver spoon in my mouth." "Just promise me this, you'll leave that workplace and come back to me. I will change my ways for you, well at least try to, just leave him for good."
She nodded her head and got out of the car. "Thanks for the ride Logan, see you at work in a week."
I started the engine back up and waited for her to enter the building before driving off.
If Adam thinks this is the last of me then he got things mistaken, cause no one hit a woman on my watch, especially not Jordynn.
Jordynn POV
As I walked into the apartment I placed my purse down on the kitchen counter. "Jackie I'm home," I yell as I plop down on the couch.
She then comes running out of her room jumping on top of me. "My dear baby." She says playfully planting kisses on my cheeks.
I laughed and pushed her off of me and wiping off her kisses.
"Are my kisses not good enough for you." She asked taken back by my actions.
"I don't know what you and ole buddy be doing," I say pointing towards her room.
"Touché." She gets up and walks to the kitchen. "So how was the fundraiser?"
"Horrible," I say turning on the tv.
"Wanna talk about it?" She asked looking through the kitchen, for I'm guessing a snack.
"Not really, just know Adam is old news."
"Whaaaatt, why?" She sits down with ice cream and two spoons. "He was so cute and nice."
I scoffed at her words and begin eating some of the ice cream. "Well, lover boy Adam is engaged and a monster." "He hit me."
She stood up so fast at my words and walked towards the door. "Ah hell no, no one hits my best friend and gets away with it."
"Sit back down Jackie." I don't need you going over there and getting hurt.
She reluctantly sat back down and continued eating. "Well, then how did you find out?"
"Well for one I ran into her aka the fiancé and Alexa in the restroom so yay me," I said rolling my eyes. "And two Logan told me, well out of jealousy he says."
"Logan, as in your old asshole boss?" She asked changing the tv.
"Yep he even asked me to come back to work with him, he offered to change his ways too."
