Tia's POV

I sit in the chair next to Shawn's hospital bed, bouncing my knee. Shawn's hands were twitching, and so was his face. He couldn't stop it, and because of that he was crying. Violet was in the Peds unit, being examined for a concussion. Chandler was with her. He still hadn't told me why his lawyer called. "Tia?" Shawn called for me weakly, and I looked at him with a small smile. "Yes, Shawn?" I asked kindly. "Is Violet okay?" He asked me, and he reminded me of a small child in that moment. I reach over, gently taking his hand. "Violet is just fine. It was only four stitches, and maybe a concussion." I assure him, then I clear my throat. "Do you want me to go over it again for you?" I ask gently, and Shawn nods. "Okay... They pulled your blood to test you for Hypoparathyroidism." I start, and Shawn nods. "I'm going to call it parathyroid for short though, okay?" I ask, and he nods again. "Parathyroid is when your thyroid doesn't produce enough parathyroid hormone. Parathyroid hormone is a hormone that keeps your bones strong. It's basically calcium we create ourselves. It can make our muscles spaz out; and make us black out; make our hands and face tingle and cramp; and panic. This can be fixed with a medication that will balance out the hormone levels." I finish, and Shawn relaxes a large amount. Dr. Shepard gently knocks, and then walks in. "Hi, Shawn, I have your results." She says, holding a tablet. She taps a few things, and smiles at him. "The test came back positive, and the good news is we can write you two prescriptions for this condition. Within the next few days you'll be back to normal. No more twitching or black outs, and these supplements should help keep you from blacking out again." She finished, tapping the screen a few more times. "You can pick up a three month supply at the pharmacy before you leave. As for your dosage you take two pills every morning, or at night. If you take them at the same time every day the medication should work better." Dr. Shepard explains, looking up at Shawn. "Shawn, do you know how lucky you are?" She asks, and Shawn looks confused. "Lucky? If this can be fixed by medication, how bad can this be?" He asks, and I sit there quietly. "We caught this early. Shawn, serious damage could have been done. Your bones would have thinned to pretty much nothing that would never heal back to the same strength. " Dr. Shepard explains, and Shawn tenses up. "What medications am I taking?" Shawn asks, and Dr. Shepard pauses to think for a moment. "Vitamen D and Calcium supplements." Dr. Shepard states, and then she gets a page. "I'll have you discharged as soon as possible." She says, pivoting on her heal, leaving. "Shawn, you're going to be fine." I assure him, standing up. "Tia, am I going to be able to keep performing?" He asks me shyly, obviously scared. "Of course you are, Shawn, you just have to take your medications." I assure him, kissing his cheek. "I love you, Tia..." Shawn admits, and I freeze as I was pulling away. "Shawn..." I start, and then Chandler throws the door open. "Tia, I need your help." He says, and I nod. "Shawn, we'll talk later." I say, grabbing my things and walking towards the door. "Where's Violet?" I ask as I pass through the opening beside Chandler. We allow Shawn's door to close, and I follow Chandler to wherever it is he's leading me. "That's why I need to talk to you." He says, speed walking towards the elevators. We stop at the metal doors, waiting for one to open. Someone else had already pressed the buttons. I notice that Chandler was drumming his fingers on his pants leg. "Chandler, where is she?" I ask, panic swelling in my chest. Chandler looks over at me, and I finally notice he doesn't look himself. His face is red, and his eyes are full of tears. I get closer to him, wrapping my arms around him. I tangle my fingers in his hair that was short now, but at a time it was longer than mine. Chandler hugs back, obviously shaking. The elevator comes, and we seperate. I grab his hand, and we locate which one it is. We walk up to, and then step in it. Chandler tells the nurse what floor we're headed to after she asks us which it is, but I didn't hear what he said. I was too busy with my thoughts. I kept wondering where Violet was. What it was that was wrong. It's just stitches, and maybe a concussion, right? Right...? I began to mess with my rings, gently gripping Chandler's hand. Chandler looks at me, smiling wearily. I smile at him best I can. I take a deep breath. Where is our little girl? I ask myself, again and again. No. I need to calm down. This is Chandler's daughter. I have to comfort him. I can't be weak right now. The doors open, causing me to look at Chandler for conformation. He nods, and we walk off out. I look around, and we're not in the pediatric ward. I follow Chandler, my heart pounding in my chest. All I felt right now was worry and panic. Chandler lead me to a board room. In the board room there were three other people already there. There was a lady in a suit jacket and skirt. Her blonde hair was in a perfect bun. Her make up screamed strict and professional. She had a binder with Violet's full name printed across the front. Then there was a man sitting next to Brianna Maphis. The man was in a normal suit, and was older. He wasn't greying, but he would be in years to come. There were were smugdes of a nude lipstick on his jawline. I looked over at Brianna. Her lipstick was slightly smudged, and the same color of that on the man's jaw. She was wearing skinny jeans and a blue flowy blouse that was low cut. Very low cut. I scooted behind Chandler, letting go of his hand. He in return, gently guided me infront of him, and to a chair across from the three people. I shakily sit, and Chandler sat beside me. "Ms. Ryan..." The man begins, and I clear my throat. "Sir, I'm not sure where you heard my name last name is Ryan, but that is no longer the case. It's LaFoy." I state, making everyone aware of the fact I am not that person anymore. The man clears his throat, and again calls me the same name as before. "If you're attempting to get a rise out of me this is a very childish way, and I would suggest stopping if you would like me to take you seriously. It would also help your case to remove Ms. Maphis' lipstick from your jaw." I state, crossing my arms. Brianna jumps up, reaching across the table to slap me. When I didn't budge, but instead gave her a look telling her to try me, she looked at me in pure rage. "I assume this has something to do with Violet, so I don't think this is helping you out, Brianna." I state, and I see the lady with the binder writing in it and flipping between pages to write on them. Angrily, she sat down. The lady with the binder cleared her throat, and I looked her way. "Ms. LaFoy, you are correct on all accounts dealing with Ms. Maphis and Mr. Matthews, even about this being about Violet." I smiled at the lady wearily, knowing she wasn't done. "I asked Mr. Riggs to bring you in here because I had a few questions to ask you. May I begin?" She asks, and I nod. "Were you aware Chandler had a daughter when the two of you began dating?" She asked, and I nodded. "I did. I learned about Violet long before Chandler and I became a thing." She nodded, and wrote it down. "Okay... How did you learn about Violet?" She asked, and I smiled at the memory. She wrote that down. "I was sitting in my room at Shawn's. We, as in Shawn and I, we talking. My phone started ringing, and it was Chandler. He was calling me, asking what a baby needed. Said that his mom found her on the front porch while he was visiting his family." I told her, frowning as I thought about how none of us new how long the poor girl had been out there. "Found on the front porch?" The lady asked, shocked. Then Chandler butted in, "My mom had heard a noise, she had been hearing it for hours and couldn't figure out where it was coming from." Brianna jumped up, slamming her hands on the table. "I never just left her! I rang that door bell!" She shrieked in defense, and Mr. Matthews shushed her. "Brianna, you know that the door bell is broken, and has always been broken." Chandler camly stated. "Well, I will be in touch with the three of you. I will speak with the judge, and a court date will be set for the decision on the custody of Violet." The case worker said, closing the binder.
