❝I threw a bucket at your android as he chased a deviant. Ain't sorry though.❞

My very first One shot book for DBH because I really, like, intensely, wanted to do this since I finished watching a gameplay.

Markus is the absolute love of my life you can't stop me.

Yet I decided to write for Connor first oof.

Enjoy~

Connor and Hank were in pursuit of a deviant until some random person threw a bucket at Connor which shocked him in the middle of his chase. The deviant took advantage of the distracted android and turned a corner, where he disappeared.

"I'm a sucker for protecting pretty deviants," You said as you watched Connor blink a few times, perplexed by the situation.

"I will have to take you into custody for questioning and for allowing the deviant to get away." When he finally looked at you, you noticed he was an android, a handsome one at that.

"Is one of the questions 'Can I have your number?' because I will answer that question very enthusiastically," you said.

"What is your name?" Connor asked; ignoring your prior comment, mostly not quite understanding why you would answer that specific question enthusiastically.

"(Y/n), I am the (Y/n) that could possibly make you swoon." You let Connor guide you to Hank who went back to the car after the android had gone above the speed his age allows him to run at.

"Who's this?"

"Hi, I'm (Y/n)." You offered your hand for Hank to shake. He looked at Connor skeptically as he took your hand and shook it. "I threw a bucket at your android as he chased a deviant. Ain't sorry though."

"A fucking bucket stops an android?" Hank's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he looked between you and Connor.

"I dunno, apparently so!" Hank was even more startled by the fact that you were just testing a theory and didn't actually know that a bucket could stop an android.

There was a lingering silence for a moment or two before Hank sighed and rolled his eyes. "Go in the back."

Connor opened the car door for you and gently pushed you onto the seat until you were sitting down. He then closed the door, opening the one in the front, opposite of the driver's seat to sit down himself.

"Quite odd," Connor comments.

"What? This person?" Hank keeps looking forward but ends up perplexed by Connor's words. He has an opinion about someone?

"Yes." Connor simply goes silent after that, questioning a weird feeling he was having ever since he touched your arm.

^

Connor was intrigued by how you handled the whole get taken by the police situation.

"May I interrogate them?" The cops in the audience side of the room looked at Connor confused by his question. Most times he let others handle this type of stuff.

"Go right ahead," Hank says, slightly worrying about Connor. He recognized a lovesick puppy anywhere and that happened to be looking like Connor ever since he saw you.

"Well, this is a nice change of scenery." You purse your lips as you look around the dull, gray room.

"It's an interrogation room." He stares at you with his brows furrowed.

"It was sarcasm." He remained silent as he sat down infront of you, studying your features. He scanned you, noticing your temperature rising and your face getting slightly red.

"Are you alright?" He questioned.

"Not used to handsome men staring at my face for too long," you admit.

Connor was taken aback by your honesty and the fact that you considered him a man, not just a robot or a piece of plastic.

"I'm just an android."

You look at him skeptically. "If you shoot my hand, I will tell you the location of the deviant."

"How do you know where the deviant is located?"

"I have connections." You shrugged. "Go ahead, shoot."

He knows you would live. He also knows that he could cause serious damage to your hand, but he also knows that you will feel immense pain and that fact makes him not want to shoot.

"I can't." He walks out of the room and sits in the corner in thought. Hank watched him be confused for a minute or two then walks in himself.

"You can go." All the cops in the room tried to stop Hank but he looked to Connor for help. "They were lying about knowing the location of the deviant right?" They look at him expectantly.

No you weren't, you knew. "Yes, I scanned their expressions when they made the request for me to shoot their hand, it was a lie."

"May I ask you a personal question?" Connor inquires once you were driven away from the station.

"Let's hear it."

"Why did you protect the deviant?" You crossed your arms.

"That ain't that personal." You sigh as your start forming a sentence in your head to explain why. "I saw the video of that deviant who wanted freedom for androids."

"That's all?"

"I believe they deserve that freedom, don't you? I mean clearly you're deviant too! Don't you want to taste freedom? Be able to live your own life, love who you want, do what you want, and did I mention love who you want because I'm single." You wink.

"You're what?"

"Single? You know, have no significant other in my life, lonely, no one to kiss and call mine, that mushy stuff," you explain.

Connor didn't know what to say, did he feel bad for you? Maybe a little. Hank watched the interaction with surprisingly nothing to say. If you counted him mouthing to Connor, "Tell her you like her" a bunch of times then nevermind.

"Could I..." He paused for a moment, considering his decisions. "Could I possibly change the fact that you are single?"

"I would gladly let you change it," you replied a bit nervously, wondering where all your audacity from earlier went. "Connor, would you let me take you on a date?"

"A date-?"

"It's like get to know eachother sessions, see if we actually have interest for eachother. Though I don't doubt I like you and I'd like to have a conversation with you."

"I will accept this date." He knew the definition of what he had accepted, but the discovery of how it felt to be on one definitely peeked his curiosity.

"This is love in progress Connor," Hank says as the android starts walking back to the car.

"I'm content that I will get to experience that emotion with her." He gives a small smile as he looks back at you to.

You also turn to look at him and catch his eyes, you then wink. To your surprise he winks back.

"This is absolutely disgusting." Hank comments. "Don't do this shit in front me, Connor."
