"So, what did you want to talk about?"

"We're gonna sneak into the military."

"I was kind of thinking of that, actually."

"Oh, we still need to plan it out. We can go through the steps to get in, let's just say that we're short, either way they'll let us in. They're desperate for more people, I heard my parents talking about that."

"What if one of us fought for the other side for a while too? See what it's like over there, see if any of the stones could be within their lines."

"We'd need to be on our own side first, and tell them. If not we could get shot."

"Exactly."

"So we'll get into the military, and try to get as high-ranked and well known as we can, and then tell the general that one of us is gonna spy."

"I'd prefer not to be well known, cause then the other side would target us.

"Not if you told them you were on their side. I'm gonna try to be an aide de camp to learn everything, and possibly be on the front line. But if we tell the general we're going to spy and then tell the bad general, they won't suspect a thing."

"I'll take the frickin' cavalry."

"Of course you will."

"Anywho, is there a reason, you've, what, been climbing in the suicide tree?"

"I heard rustling. There wasn't anyone there, so I assume it was the wind."

"Oh right. Anyways, what now."

"Let's go in for military duty. I might not look old enough, but they'll probably let me in anyways. They're desperate."

"I look 22 so I'm good."

"I'll be fine, I just need to put my hair up." She quickly tied her hair up into a ponytail, using black ribbon from her bag. Her hair had fallen out of its braid when she climbed the tree.

"There you go, now c'mon!"

"Okay!" She started to run away from the tree, making sure not to step on any of the leaves. She ran to the spot where people got checked out for military duty, Silvia at her heels.
