Stiles POV

It happened on a normal week day, I was heading home from work when my jeep gave out on the side of the road "fuck, just my luck" I muttered to myself as I got out and walked to the front to see if I could fix it, things are a little different now in beacon hills, we don't get attacked every week by some new creature wanting to destroy us, the pack itself has changed a lot, everyone is either in college or working now, I take online classes because I couldn't think about leaving the pack and this town behind, it was just too much to think about and since I have a higher GPA than normal, well I was given a pick of different colleges to go to and all of them allowed me to do online classes, instead of moving state to wherever the college was, I prefer it this way because I'm surrounded by pack, but the pack took a deep wound that has only started to heal when old sourwolf left with Braeden and even though it hurts to think about him I couldn't help it.

You see me and Derek actually had a physical relationship and no-one knew not even his three pups (Boyd, Erica and Isaac) we never spoke about it either and I only knew he was leaving because he came to my room and told me point blank that he was leaving with Braeden, since she could give him what he needed and I couldn't, so without showing emotion I simply told him to go, after I knew he had left, I broke down and literally trashed my room I carried on like that for a few hours but I finally stopped knowing it wasn't doing me any good, Derek Hale became part of the past and at times it was the best part, and yes it still hurts when I think about him but I can't do nothing about that, so I just shake the feeling away, after he left I also discovered I had a talent for magic, so I've been learning with Deaton as a teacher, I discovered I'm a natural (according to Deaton) I practiced all the time

Since then I've been able to protect the town better and that's what's important, Scott has became someone I didn't recognise anymore it's like he's on Alpha juice or something, Derek's pups don't listen to him at all and they seem to come to me quite a bit, I found out one night by my pops that Melissa was leaving town and Scott was going with her, the pack was afraid because they didn't have an Alpha to not only protect them but also the town and that's where I came in apparently, since I'm the closest in power to an Alpha, Deaton suggested that I take leadership, I chuckled when I saw everyone's reaction to that, Derek's pups didn't have a problem with that surprisingly neither did the twins (who joined the pack) Peter just muttered "I knew it" the ones who had the most problem with it was Liam, Mason, Hayden and Kira since technically they were Scott's pack. Jackson, Lydia and Danny didn't mind me being in charge since according to Jackson I was a better choice than Scott was, which shocked me into silence -first time for everything-

Derek has been gone now for 2 years, Scott left 6 months after him and not once have any of the pack mentioned either of them since, when I asked Peter about that he said that it had something to do with the fact that they have left the pack, while I've never so they feel more connected with me since our bonds have deepened a lot over the year and an half, Scott's pack (Liam, Mason, Hayden and Kira) all left after Scott saying it didn't feel right for me to take over, I shrugged my shoulders at them and said it was they're choice which it was, the rest of the pack stayed even going as far as the local collage so they were close by, well apart from Lydia since she got into MIT and I wasn't going to let her let that go because of us, so she visits every few weeks and calls most days as well, Cora came back when she heard about what happened with Derek and Scott leaving and decided to stay, she even ended up with Jackson while Lydia started dating Aidan, which confused everyone except me and Danny, who saw it coming from miles away and enjoyed smirking at them every chance we got
