House Hunting

Rocky's POV:

The family and I have been at the hospital for over 9 hours. I haven't left once, but the family has taken turns leaving with Ryder and to take care of things at home. The doctor said Casie had to have surgery on her stomach to have it pumped. They said she could've...died. She nearly overdosed. They finished surgery around an hour or so ago. I had my head in my hands until I heard the Doctor come in. My head shot up.

"Casie is now stable and can have visitors, but I recommend only one or two at a time." He said before walking away. I stood up quickly.

"I wanna go. Alone. Please."

"Go ahead son. we will be here." My dad said holding Ryder.

"Dad, can I take him with me?"

"Sure son." He said handing me Ryder.

I quickly walk to her room. I open the door to see her awake. I walk in and sit in the chair next to her. She looks over at me and almost immediately starts crying.

"Rocky..I am so sorry! I don't know what got into me! I was being evicted and didn't know what to do! I knew your family would've taken us in but-" I cut her off kissing her.

I stare into her eyes until we both hear the faint giggle of our baby.

"Can I hold him?" she asks pleading.

"Yeah." I said giving Ryder to her. I sit watching until she says something that surprises me...

"I know you have gotten help and I want to be with you again."

"W-what?" I said.

"I want you back." She said smiling. I jump up and kiss her passionately.

"Yes! This is what the purpose of getting help was!!"

"Well since I get out of here tomorrow and I am evicted, do you think I can move in with you and your family?" She asked politely.

"Absolutely. I am gonna get Rydel, Alexis, Ryland, and I to go get your stuff from your house. I want everything to be perfect when you come home. I love you but I will talk to you soon. Get some rest." I said kissing her one last time.

"Love you too!" She said kissing back.

~5 hours later~

We finally finished packing up the house, but a lot of stuff had to be put in storage. We were on our way over to our house to put the stuff there. Casie has a lot of stuff, but somehow Ryder has more than she does.

I text Casie and tell her we gave her key to Jeff. I am so excited for us to be a real family and not being separated anymore. It took us about three hours to set up the nursery and finish putting Casie's stuff in my room. I called the hospital to see if Casie was awake, but she was sleeping. I decided to stay home and spend time with Ryder. The last thing I remember is falling asleep with Ryder on my chest.

~The Next Day~

My alarm on my phone went off telling me it was time to get things ready to pick Casie up from the hospital. I got up and got a shower before grabbing clothes for Casie. I walk downstairs to see my mom holding Ryder.

"Hey mom, can you watch the baby? I want to go house hunting with Casie."

"Yeah i would love to but house hunting? Are you guys ready for that?"

"Yeah, I feel like being able to have our own house and have that stability will make it easier to work out our problems."

"Okay son. Have fun and let me know if you find anything." She said as I went over and gave both her and Ryder a kiss.

~1 hour later~

I finally got Casie discharged from the hospital. I filled out her papers and got her medications while the doctor had showed her how to care for her surgical incision. We got in the car and I started driving to the realtor's office.

"Rocky where are we going?" She said nervously.

"Well baby girl, we are going house hunting!" I said as I intertwined our fingers.
