One step closer

Draco's POV

I was in a cafe with Harry, Ron, Cedric and Neville. Surprisingly, we became friends.

I wanted to tell them something and ask for help/advice because it's something super important.

"So...what do you have to say?" Neville asked. I cleared my throat before speaking. "I've been thinking on proposing to Krystal", I stated.

I heard them gasp. "I-is it too fast?" I asked nervously. "No! No! You guys have been dating for years! It'a about time!" Cedric exclaimed. "Wow, I didn't know that I'd have engaged friends so soon", Ron spoke. "Yeah, me too", Harry said. "It's not a bad thing though. Go for it, Malfoy!" Ron cheered while everyone agrees.

"I don't really know how to, though. I've never really dealt with this kind of stuff", I confessed. "Well you should think of it soon and figure it out, mate. Doesn't always have to be bloody romantic", Ron told me. I nodded my head. "I'm so nervous though, it's hurting my ego", I said. "Of course it is", Harry rolled his eyes. "But seriously, you should do it", Cedric said, "I'm sure she'll say yes". I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "How do you know?" I asked. "Cuz she loves you obviously", he replied. "Alright, alright. I'll think of something", I said.

After a while alone with only my thoughts, I finally came up with an idea for a Ravenclaw like her.

And so, I planned it. I planned it all. I wanted this to be something she'd enjoy, and I know she will.

TIME SKIP

Krystal's POV

I finally got home after going out with my friends. They so suddenly wanted to go out and forced me to it and I had no idea.

"Ok, but Krystal, you have to do something!" Sherlyn squealed excitedly. I looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Huh?" I asked, confused. "Put on this dress, these shoes and we'll be doing your hair and make-up!" Chalisa exclaimed. "Why?" I asked, even more confused. "Just do it!"

I had no energy to argue with them so I did what they say. I put on a green and black sleeveless dress that stops just a little above the knee and also the black ankle boot heels. I let the girls do my hair in which they curled and put on some make-up which isn't too much. "Now, for the last touch!" Felicia smiled. She waved her wand and soon, my hair began to glitter/shimmer. "You know my secret now, huh?" I smirked. "You bet", she smiled. "Now, this is for you", Angel said, handing me a piece of paper. "What is it?" I questioned. "Just read it and follow the instructions", Angel told me before they all rushed out of the room. I opened the letter.

Dear Krystal,
I have left you to do a scavenger hunt. You'll have to find 4 objects say each thing in order. You'll find those objects through clues. The first clue to find the first object is :
'Find it in the place where you can get dreams or nightmares'.

I laughed as I read the letter. That was too obvious. The one making this scavenger hunt surely can't make difficult clues.

I quickly searched in my bed before I found a parchment. I opened it up and saw that it was a will, a fake one of course. I took it with me before read the piece of paper that dropped out of this will.

Congrats, you found the first object! This is the second clue :
You'll find this object in the place where you make substances to survive.

It was definitely the kitchen, and so I went downstairs to it. I mentally laughed when the person called food substance. I looked around before my eyes landed on a large 'U' letter that was hung on the wall. It had the piece of paper taped on it. I took the 'U' off the wall and read the paper.

Congrats, you found the second object too! Now this is the third clue :
"Find this object in the place where all your childhood memories are placed"

I thought of it for a while before concluding that it was referring to my large box filled with childhood pictures, toys, etc which was also downstairs in my parents' room.

I went inside and tried to look for a specific item that might have another small piece of paper before looking at one of my dolls that I named 'Mary'. That doll was holding a piece of paper and so I took Mary and that paper.

Congrats! You found the third object! Now on to the fourth and last object! Clue :
'You will find this one to the entrance of your favorite place of the house'.
Once you find the last object, enter this place and make out the sentence by reading the names of all the things you've collected :)

I didn't hesitate to go to the door to the garden. And lied on the floor eight infront of it was a paper. I read it. It was music notes, but the third one was circled.

Do, Re, Mi.

I figured that was the one so, with all those stuff in my grasp, I entered the garden and was immediately amazed.

Woah.

The garden was decorated romantically, like the ones in movies, with fairy lights, roses and all.

There was a candlelit dinner placed in the middle.

But then, I remembered what my main goal was. I checked my things again and said each things' name.

"Will, U, Mary, Mi", I stated, confused. "Will you marry me?" I questioned unsurely. Until I heard the voice of a special someone.

"The scavenger hunt says it all, babe. Clearly too".

I looked at Draco who entered wearing a suit and all. I froze for a second before he stood on his knees and took out a small navy colored velvet box. He opened it to reveal a gorgeous emerald ring. I gasped.

What's happening?! Oh my god what's happening?!

"Krystal Roseanne Eleanor, I've loved you for years now. And that is the most unexpected thing I could ever think of. I know I've mistreated you the first few years we met but I assure you, I'm better than that now. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, my love. Will you marry me?"

I was on the verge of crying. This was not what I expected from the scavenger hunt.

Oh shit this is real.

"Yes!" I exclaimed happily.

I could see the relief wash over him as he placed the ring on my finger and hugged me tightly.

And that, was one step closer to my happily ever after.
