Y/n, 9: 35 am

Getting ready in the lady's fitting room went surprisingly smoothly, especially because no one really paid attention to anyone but themselves nor their friends. I eventually even started talking to a girl named Hélène.

(A/N: If you are reading this before every chapter is re-written, you can continue the story by replacing Hélène as Jill. The reason for that will get clearer later on in the story, dw.)

The two of us maintain our chattering as we end up walking into the sports hall: "I'm telling you, you should totally visit my house sometime! My mom has millions of these gramophone records!" I smile in fascination as she gasps, "What singer do you absolutely love? Like your number one?" Without second-guessing, I reply with y/f/1983/s.

Her eyes widen and she grabs my arm, "Wait--" I stop walking and turn to look at her in surprise, "You like y/f/1983/s?" A few seconds pass by. I slowly nod, "My mom--" she cuts me off, "That's like so cool!" I chuckle a little bit taken back by her abrupt loud tone. I could sense a few people looking at us. "Well, what is your flavourite singer? I mean-- Favourite!" She chuckles as a sudden deafening whistle gets heard.

"Alright, class! I hope this vacation was marvellous because let me tell you something, you won't be getting any (vacation) anytime soon." A woman ㅡ wearing training-like uniform ㅡ addresses strictly. I look a little bit bewildered at the woman, "Who's that?" I ask with a lower tone. "Who?" Hélène gives me a slight glimpse ere understanding of who I meant, "You mean Miss Kendrick?" I mutter her name to make sure it gets stuck in my head. "Right, her boyfriend just broke up with her because she was totally cray-cray." She let her index finger spin around the side of her head.

"We'll start with a slight warm-up! Pair up and get ready, shall we? C'mon, We don't have all day!" Everyone instantly carries out her orders. The crowds of students split up, causing me to see Dustin and his friend. "Hélène, can we stand over there?" She gazes up at where I'm pointing, "Eh... Are you sure about that?" My eyes find their way up to hers, "What do you mean?"

"How can I say this nicely... Let's say that they don't have a great reputation." My face shifts into even more confusion. "Their nickname is the loser club, you know?" My orbs move over to the two guys as the teacher walks up to the front: now standing somewhat in front of Hélène and me. "Let's start with some stretching first, alright?"

A few questions start popping up in my head as I make eye contact with the timid boy alongside Dustin; Will.

Hélène: 10:05 am

"I'm never doing that ever again," I blurt out breathlessly. Y/n laughs softly, agreeing with me as we walk out of gym class. "I do get why Miss Kendrick is acting like that now, though." She addresses me as I roll my eyes. "Doesn't mean it's the right thing to do!" Her facial expression suddenly changes into surprise. "Of course it's worm, I mean--" She exhales and mutters never mind while gazing down. I frown slightly, realizing she had been messing up words a few times since the moment I met her. Is she usually this weird?

"Gee Y/n, I don't know what's up with you, but u totally need to get some help." She looks up at me, "It just seems like you're stressed about a lot of things... and it's having an effect on your speech." Silence augmented into the air, "I'm just saying that because you look ridiculous right now, that's all. Class is about to start, see you later." I quickly walk off to class, feeling her eyes burning onto the backside of my features.
