Opposites Attract

I called my mother and told her to get dressed cute and that I was taking her out for her birthday. She was so excited because her sixtieth birthday was in two days and she thought I forgot. Throughout the day we shopped at some expensive places and then I took her to one of the most expensive Spa's in Michigan and got full body Massages and manicures and pedicures courtesy of my man Jayson. I made reservations at the Whitney for dinner tonight and texted Jay to let him know.

After dropping my mother off I headed home to get dressed because it was almost time to head to the restaurant. I threw on a nice blouse, some sexy leggings and my tall boot heels. Before heading out I called my father to make sure things was still going as planned. My mother didn't know we were having dinner at the Whitney she just thought my father was taking her out.

When I arrived to the Restaurant I valet parked the lexus truck and went inside. I had to wait for almost a half an hour but it was fine because it was such short notice and it gave it enough time for everyone to arrive.

I was seated at the table when I noticed my mother and father walk in, they were escorted to the table but I still wondered where Jayson was at, I wanted to call him but I remembered that he had some business to take care of so I wasn't going to rush him.

"Oh my goodness Kylah this is a beautiful restaurant where did you get the money to afford all of these things?"

"Mother just relax, it's your birthday." I said as I reached over and kissed her on the cheek.

"Well thank you sweetie everything you have done for me has been very nice, how could you afford these things."

"Jay gave me the money."

"What! He is really good to you baby." My father joined in.

On that note Jay and Davieon walked up and I was so happy to see them. I stood up and gave Daveion and Jay a hug and introduced them to my parents.

"So are you all ready to order now?" the waitress came over and asked. We all looked over our menus and placed orders and then Jay ordered the restaurant finest wine.

"Jay you shouldn't have." My mother said breaking the silence.

"I'm sorry, what did I do?"

"You help Kylah give me the best birthday ever."

"Aww you don't have to thank me. It was your daughter's idea I just helped her."
"Where do you work again to have afforded such fine things." That was it, my mother was so damn nosey, why couldn't she leave things well enough alone.

"My father works in the stock market selling stock and bonds." Davieon cut in. Me and Jay gave him a look like where did that come from?

"Oh that's good. I'm so happy that my daughter has found someone to make her smile again." My father joined in.

"Kylah is special to me. She makes me smile as well." Jay responded. Daveion pretended to choke on his water and I giggled. Jay sounded real silly trying to impress my parents.

"So if you don't mind me asking how old are you seeing that you have a grown son." My mother asked.

"I'm forty and it is okay. Daveion is twenty two and he is my only child."

"You are a lot older then my daughter, she only thirty."
"Mother I don't look at age, so what if Jay is ten years older than me."

"Right woman why is you tripping. I am twelve years older than you and it didn't stop you from being all in love with me. Kylah is a grown ass woman who knows how to handle herself so leave the damn girl alone." My father then looked at me and winked his eye.

"I know but I don't want my daughter hurt again. You know she was married once before."

"Yeah I know she was married before but that has nothing to do with me." Jay responded and I could tell that all the questions was getting on his nerves.

"Look ma enough with all the questions. It's not your first time meeting him so stop being all nosey."

The rest of the dinner affair went smoothly. My mother enjoyed herself and after dinner my father wasn't ready to go back home so he took her to a jazz club afterwards. I went home and Jay and Davieon went their separate ways too.

I was so tired after all the events I had with my mother to where all I could do was just strip my clothes and crawl into bed.

I was knocked out when I heard my phone ringing. I looked at the time and it was three o'clock in the morning.

"Hello." I tried to answer in the sexiest tone because it was Jay.

"Sorry for waking you up."

"It's okay. What are you doing up this time of night?"

"I had to run and take care of some shit. I was thinking about you."

"Aww Jay I miss you."

"I miss my Ky. I just wanna be up in you enjoying myself right now."

"Jay you so nasty."

"Thank you. If only yo' momma knew what you do to me I bet she wouldn't think her daughter was a sweet baby then."

"Jay chill out." I laughed. "I'm sorry for all the questions earlier. She can be a bit much at times."

"You good no need to apologize. She loves her daughter. Davieon was teasing you on the way home though."
" I'm going to get him. I was surprised but happy to see you brought him along."

"Yeah we come as a package. I'm happy too because he saved me. Yo momma is going to go crazy when she finds out what I really do for a living."

"It's none of her business." I snapped.

"I know ky. Don't be over there letting that little shit get to you."
" I want you." I said seductively.

"I'm sorry ma but I'm not even in town right now. I would be back tomorrow." He said killing my hopes.

"Damn where are you, you always dipping in and out of town."

"I'm in Ohio with one of my boys but I will be back tomorrow. I'm gone wear that ass out when I get back."

"Jay you are something else." I laughed.

"Alright. Let me get finished so I can come and wake that ass up in a few hours."

"Jay be careful please."
" I will baby. Don't worry about me." On that note we hung up the phone and I just lay awake in the bed thinking about me and Jay's relationship until I drifted back off to sleep.
