Jay had been here for me through it all. I could tell he had a weak stomach and when I would have my morning sickness I tried to do it quietly so I wouldn't disturb him but when he heard me he was always there rubbing my stomach and wiping me down with cool towels. I hadn't been out since I found out I was pregnant but Jay was so sweet and stayed by my side for the most part. When he had to go and take care of business he wouldn't be gone long.
It's the holiday season and I usually spend the holidays with my mother and father but this year I spent them with Jay and his street fam. The ones that he trusted to come over to his home. Today Jay was going to pick my Mother and Father up and bring them to the house for dinner so we can let them know about the pregnancy. I was now four months and we were somewhat out of the woods with the pregnancy. My cervix was thickening up but my doctor still wanted me to take it easy because I was still high risk.
Shannon and Cassandra stopped by and helped me prepare the dinner seeing that I really couldn't do much. Jay insisted that we hire a maid but I decided against it.
"Girl I have majority of the dinner prepared and the only thing that needs to go in the oven is the Mac and Cheese. Shannon will put that in the oven when the meat is ready to come out. I have to run some errands but I should be back before everyone arrives."
"Okay. I need to go and sit down for a little while. My feet is starting to hurt and I don't want to be irritated when my parents get here."
"Understood, well like I said Shannon has everything under control so go and take a little nap and I will have her wake you up."
"Naw'll bitch I'm tired of sleeping. That's all Jay allows me to do. I told him this baby is going to be lazy as hell."We both burst out laughing because I was telling the truth. Jay was acting like I was some delicate ass flower and Daveion didn't make things no better. When He was over he would be acting like if I walked too far I was going to break.
"Well go do something with ya' self."
"Yeah alright, I guess I could go and watch a damn movie or something."
"I will be in there with you cause my dogs is barking too." Shannon cut in.
Cassandra headed to the door and me and Shannon headed to the theater.
Four hours later and two movies later me and Shannon was like two bumps on a log. Dinner was done thanks to my girl Shannon.
"So are you nervous about telling your mother." Shannon asked.
"A little."
"I think she would be excited, you know she was always wanted a grandchild."
"I know she can just get on my nerves a lot, I know when she find out she's going to wanna take care of me on foot and hand."
"Girl you know that. You are her baby you know she still hasn't gotten over the fact that you got married and moved out a long time ago.""Girl I know. She was tripping on Jay so hard in the beginning I thought she was going to run him away."
"So have you heard from Antonio yet."
"Girl naw'll, after I moved out Jay made me change my number and with me being pregnant I haven't been able to go to church."
"I saw what happened to the house. I wonder how it caught on fire." Cassandra knew what happened but I didn't tell Shannon because she wouldn't understand the reason for Jay torching the house."I don't know what could've happened. I knew I had some bad wiring going on in the basement so that could've caused it. I'm just happy it didn't happen when I was living there."
"Yeah because it burned so bad that they had to tear it down. I know you loved that house too."
"Yeah it was my dream house. But I like this house better."
"I would too if I was living in a mansion like a princess. You betta get dressed, your parents would be here any moment."
