Linda kept thinking about the question. Why? Such a simple question. She had plenty of questions that started with the word Why?

Why could she have not been a classic beauty?

Why did she fall for someone who would never fall for her?

Why?

The girl, who she assumed was the reason behind the light in Paul's eye, had asked her questions. The girl, a beauty, much to Linda's distress, did not seem to malicious in asking the question. She wanted to understand the logic and Paul answered. That was more than Linda could say.

Linda had left a man for less, but Paul. Paul McCartney was a beatle, a womanizer, and someone who no-one believed Linda would bag for that reason, he became an obsession. Keep him, Linda thought while a girl would flirt, keep him in your sights. She had hoped that by setting up the perfect family life, Paul would settle down. But he hadn't. She had to find out the girls name.

Paul came home after meeting with Kaye at the market. She had been asking him questions. He knew that he was beginning to fall deeply in love with Kaye and she was beginning to get tired of being the mistress.  He had to make a decision, a hard decision, on whether or not he should continue in his marriage. He thought of his relationship with Kaye, with Jane and then compared it. In the light of those two relationship where he had fallen deeply in love with his partner, he realized how his relationship just wasn't anything compared to his other. He had plenty of women, conquests and girlfriends, but there only two real honest to goodness relationships and Linda, his wife, was not one.

Paul knew at that moment what he had to do.

Linda was preparing herself for asking Paul about Kaye. Linda was sitting in the front room, her posture straight as an arrow and not relaxed. Linda saw Paul get out of the car. His face was solemn.

Paul opened the door slowly and said "Linda."

"Paul, we have to talk."

"Alright."

"Who was the girl at store."

"Kaye Baird"

"Who is she to you."

"She's... You don't want me to answer that."

"You're concubine."

"NO! Linda, What are doing here? I mean,  really. I have not been with happy with you in a long time.. I think  we should get a divorce." Paul finally said it. Linda, who had thought that he would want to work the marriage out, or at least naively hoped for that.

"I will pack up for the next week and you should  find a place to stay. After the week is done, I am moving back in."

After packing a weeks worth of cloths, Paul left. He was going to Kaye's flat. He got in his car and drove five mins. He got out of his car walked to the front door and then to the third story walk-up. He knocked on 301 and waited.  The shuffling footsteps approached the door. A tall girl with a model-like body, ice blue eyes, blond hair which is messy stood in the doorway wearing a skin-tight  spaghetti straps with no bra.

"Is Kaye home."

She shook herself and said "May I ask who this is."

"Paul."
