Jaimie

I close the door to Brynn's room. It took everything in me to not take her into my arms. I curse myself for even thinking this way. What would Nedda think? I think about what Iain said. Nedda is gone, and even though it's tortured me, it's time for me to move on. But why am i drawn to brynn like i am? She looks like a child, but has the curves of a woman. So innocent, but she has a stubbornness to her, that i can't quite place. She can't be but a few years younger than me. I think about her- out there in the cold, near death. I shake my head- it's too much for me to think about this now- i need to get some ale. I run into Iain, who seems to be in a rush- but he slows, when he sees me heading towards him.

"Jaimie- what's wrong?"

I glance at him, with a hollow look in my eyes.

Iain takes one look at me, and nods. "Ye know, Jaimie- if ye want to talk, ye know where to find me." and with that, Iain passes me, and heads towards the other direction. I head to the tavern.

sorry if this chapter is so short- they'll get longer, i promise!
